The post of Director is a tenure post of five years. Pay & Allowances, leave, medical facilities etc are
admissible as per Institute Rules.
Job Description: The Director of the Institute shall be the Administrative head of the institute. His/Her
prime duty is to create an environment of technical innovations and research in the Institute. He/She is
to promote academia to develop-help to grow the students to take Research Projects, Consultancy
work of high standard, helping the students to understand the need and welfare of the state. He/She
should be a good visionary to translate his vision into practice to achieve high goals of Higher
Technical Education. He should have capacity, capability & quality to keep up his institute at the topfor generating services, Promoting Research and technical education in the Region. He/She has to
develop his team/faculty to work as per the norms laid down for the growth of the institute. He/She shall
be responsible for day to day functioning of the institute. He/She may be called upon also to take up
any other duties assigned by the Board of Governors (BOG).
Pay Band & Grade Pay : Maximum Pay to be fixed at Rs. 80,000/- per month. Pay shall be as per IIT
norms as applicable form time to time.
Qualification
Ph.D Degree with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with an
outstanding academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 yrs experience as a Professor in a
reputed educational Institute.
Or
A minimum of 10 years teaching/ research / industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at
the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IISc Banglore, IIMs, NITIE Mumbai and IISers or at an
equivalent level in any such other Indian or foreign Institution(s) of comparable standards
The Director being an academic and administrative head is expected to have proven administrative,
teaching and research background(including significant experience in research guidance at Ph.D level)
with leadership qualities.
Experience: A minimum of ten years teaching/research/professional experience of which at least 4
years should be at the level of Associate Professor in a research organization or industry as on the
date of application. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area
of specialization in terms of guidance of M.Tech and Ph.D students, strong record of sponsored
research, publications in reputed journals and referred conferences, patents, laboratory/course
development and other recognized relevant professional activities. Candidates should be preferably
below 55 years of age.
3. Registrar
The post of Registrar is a tenure post of five years. Pay & Allowances, leave, medical facilities etc are
admissible as per Institute Rules. Candidates shall preferably be below the age of 55 years of age.
1. Pay Band & Grade Pay : Rs. 37400-67,000+ Grade Pay Rs. 10,000/2. Job Description : The Registrar of the Institute is the custodian of Records, the common seal and
the funds of the Institute. He/She is the Secretary of the Board of Governors, Finance Committee
and Buildings & Works Committee. He/She has the overall responsibility of the office including
recruitment, purchases and accounts. He/She is required to provide administrative support to the
Director and Dean(Admn.). He/She may be called upon also to take up any other duties assigned
by the Director or the Board of Governors.
6. Assistant Registrar
Pay Band & Grade Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5400/Qualification & Experience: A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC
7 point Scale along with a good academic record as laid down by UGC.
