Resumen
La diabetes mellitus tipo 2, es un trastorno metablico que afecta a todo el
organismo. Adems, puede ocasionar lesiones en distintos rganos. A menudo
provoca tambin problemas circulatorios y daos en el sistema nervioso. Y, dado
que el azcar aporta energa a las clulas, la diabetes tambin suele ocasionar
prdida de peso y una reduccin de la capacidad fsica. Es necesario implementar
cambios en los hbitos nutricionales, promover la prctica de ejercicios aerbicos y
fomentar hbitos saludables, incluso desde la etapa de la gestacin, apunt el
tambin integrante de la Sociedad Venezolana de Medicina Interna. De all que este
estudio pretenda determinar los factores de riesgo asociados a diabetes mellitus tipo
2 en los habitantes del sector la Chinita, Municipio Baralt, con el fin de fomentar
actividades preventivas y polticas de salud, para que de esta manera evitar las
complicaciones tardas de esta enfermedad. Metodolgicamente se ubica como una
investigacin Descriptiva con un diseo de investigacin No Experimental y
Transeccional basado en las caractersticas que tiene, la poblacin utilizada estar
conformada por 56 individuos, pertenecientes al sector La Chinita del Municipio
Baralt, que n atencin al nmero de individuos que permite la fcil manipulacin
para el investigador, se toma en su totalidad, siguiendo los postulados de Sabino
(2001) de criterio de censo poblacional. Como tcnicas se utilizaron la observacin
mediante la encuesta y como instrumentos se dise un cuestionario denominado
DELACOM 2012-1, el cual ser aplicado a la poblacin seleccionada. Para luego de
obtener los resultados presentar las conclusiones y recomendaciones.

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus type 2, is a metabolic disorder that affects the entire body. In
addition, it can cause lesions in different organs. Often it also causes circulatory
problems and damage the nervous system. And, since sugar provides energy to the
cells, diabetes also tends to result in weight loss and a reduction of physical
capacity. It is necessary to implement changes in nutritional habits, promote the
practice of aerobic exercise and encourage healthy habits, even from the stage of
the pregnancy, he said the also a member of the Venezuelan society of internal
medicine. From there that this study tries to determine the risk factors associated
with diabetes mellitus type 2 in the inhabitants of la Chinita, municipality Baralt,
sector in order to promote health, policies and preventive activities so that in this way
to prevent late complications of this disease. Methodologically it is located as an
descriptive investigation, with a research design non-Experimental and transactional
based on characteristics you have used population will be comprised of 56
individuals, belonging to the sector La Chinita the municipality Baralt, n the number
of individuals that allows easy handling for the researcher, is taken in its entirety,
following the tenets of Sabino (2001) of criterion of population census. As techniques
were used observation through the survey and as instruments a questionnaire called
DELACOM 2012-1, which will be applied to the selected population was designed.
For after obtaining the results presented the conclusions and recommendations.
