1. Introduction.

GIS application widely used on variable area of technical problems, with different method application
provided by GIS software, GIS application able to give accurate result of work. Information in this report,
show how area from different coordinate system convert to coordinate system needed and identify area
which involved with location of TNB Tower.

2. Objective.
1. Covert original coordinate of map into coordinate system needed.
2. Determine and identify how many towers, how many location involve and costing.

3.1 KML to layer.

KML is an XML- based file format used to represent geographic features in application such as ArcGIS
Explore and Google Earth. KML allow to draw points, lines, and polygons on maps and globes and share
them with others. Using KML you can also designate text, pictures, movies, or links to other GIS service
that appear when the user clicks the feature.
3.2 New shape file.

2 point, 2 polyline and 1 polygon new shapefile created. Point shapefile represented for TNB tower,
polyline shapefile represented TNB Transmission Line and polygon represented boundary area.

3.3 Select by location features.

The select by location function to select


features based on their location relatively to
other features. For this task, I aimed to want to
know about how many lot cadastral were
involved with TNB tower transmission line
area.

5. Discussion.
Through process selection by location, the lot cadastral which involved with TNB Transmission
Line 125kv & 275kv are determained. The lot cadastral which blue highlight show that the area
of Transmisson line and tower, thus the number lot can indentify by open the attribute table and
already selected in the attribute table. Costing for transmisson line area and tower area are
calculate for reparation to owner of lot. Thus, the number lot which involved are recorded. As
well as Kelantan for 125kv is 7 256 $ and 275kv is 16350$, Terangganu for 125kv is 9 032$ and
275kv is 9 512$, and Johor, 125kv the cost is 11 472$ and 275kv is 15 168$. The highest
reparation is Kelantan 275kv with 16 360$, this is because the many lot cadastral involve with
tower construction and transmission line.
For other application, by this process, we also can manage and analyze the suitable location for
TNB tower and Transmission Line if the cost of reparation too high or if the location on the lot
with not suitable soil, such as soft soil.

6. Conclusion.
Based the work has be done, GIS application can analyze until to small lot of area without change
any original information. That means, the result is accurate. Thus, we can detect each lot cadastral
which involved with the project for reparation process, and we can make a survey on the land
which involved with project, to investigate either that point is suitable for construction TNB
tower and transmission line, or not. Further, any job can be done with accurate on GIS
Application and can save money for field work.
