Supervisors Safety Course

SCAL is the Accredited Training Provider approved by the Ministry of
Manpower for the Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Regulation 9 of the Workplace Safety and Health (Construction) Regulations
2007 states that:
(2) It shall be the duty of
(a) the employer of any person who carries out oversight or
supervisory
work
in
a
worksite;
or
(b) the principal under whose direction any person carries out
oversight or supervisory work in a worksite, to ensure that the
person does not oversee or supervise any work (including any
process) in the worksite unless the person has received adequate
safety and health training to ensure that the work which the person
oversees or supervises can be carried out safely.

Target Audience
The course would be appropriate for individuals with job titles such as:
constn site supervisors & foreman, clerk of works and site engineers; or
Engineering graduates or individuals with diploma qualifications and
above who wish to work in the construction industry

Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 or equivalent

The company and participant agree to the following terms and conditions when submitting this application form:
1. Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis, and will close when the class is full.
2. Payment must be made before the course commencement date. Upon registration, please ensure the participant attend the class.
3. SCAL Academy reserves the right to restrict this course to participants without suitable and relevant qualification and experience.
4. SCAL Academy reserves the right to revise the course fees without prior notice, reschedule, postpone or cancel classes as deemed necessary.
All dates shown are subject to final confirmation.
5. SCAL Academy Terms and Conditions are subject to change. All information in this brochure is correct at time of printing. Refer to our website

6. Request for Replacement of Name: (a) A fee of $50.00 will be charged per participant. (b) A written notice of replacement together with the full
particulars of the new participant must be given to us at least 3 working days before course commencement date. (c) No replacement is allowed
on the day of the class.
7. Request for Postponement: (a) A fee of $100.00 will be charged per participant. (b) A written notice of postponement must be given to us at least
3 working days before course commencement date. (c) No postponement is allowed on the day of the class.
8. Request for Withdrawal / Cancellation: (a) A written request for withdrawal / cancellation must be given to us at least 3 working days before
commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be refunded. (b) Full course fee will be imposed if participant/s does not attend the
class without prior notice. There will be STRICTLY no refund.
9. Appeal of Assessment Result: (a) Students who wish to appeal for review of assessment results, please fill the Assessment Appeal Form that
can be downloaded from website. (b) There will be an admin fee of $60.00 (incl GST, non-refundable).
10. All certificates or passes must be collected within 6 months from the date of examination. Thereafter, they will be discarded.
