We are pleased to report that, based on the latest 2011 impact factor (IF) calculations

(Google Scholar method similar to ISI), IJME now has a remarkable IF of 3.0 as it
continues its march toward the top 20 engineering journals.
Currently, there is no official ranking of journals that publishes areas of engineering the
way that IJME does. However, if IJME is placed in the category of mechanical
engineering journals, it would be ranked #5; or, #15 in chemical engineering (see below).
IEEE journals, where the journals publish papers in more than one category, use the same
analogy to show the ranking of their journals in different categories. It must be noted for
accuracy purposes ranking of all theses journals including IJME is based on their 2011
impact factors.
