A skin designed to work better on Netbooks and other computers who's screens are
limited to a 1024x600 resolution. Skin is based on the default FM2013 skin, wit
h the most changes being the maximising of the screen content area.
Installation Instructions:
Extract the files from the zip, and place the netbook2013 folder into your skins
folder, by default this is:
My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2013/skins
(If you don't have a skins folder just create one).
To load the game on a Netbook (or to get the game into windowed mode when your r
esolution is 768 or less) you need to alter the Launch Options for FM2013 in Ste
am.
In your Steam Library right click on FM2013 -> Properties -> General -> Set Laun
ch Options and add this "--small_screen --windowed" without the " click OK and t
he game should now load.
Now if you can go into the preferences menu without the game crashing select the
Netbook2013 skin in the dropdown menu, if it doesn't appear turn off the skin c
ache, select always reload the skin and click confirm go back into the preferenc
es menu and you should now be able to select the Netbook2013 skin. (Once the ski
n is loaded you can turn the cache back on and turn off always reload skin).
If you cannot get into the preferences screen there are two alternative methods
to change your skin:
1. In your Steam Library right click on FM2013 -> Properties -> General -> Set L
aunch Options and add this line to what you have added above: " --skin=netbook20
13" without the " but with the space at the start, when you load the game it wil
l select the skin referenced there 'netbook2012' in this case. (To change skins
you'll need to delete or modify this line)
2. Manually adjust one of the xml files, first you may need to enable view hidde
n files, then browse to:
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Sports Interactive\Foo
tball Manager 2013\settings
Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2
013\settings
Inside that folder will be a list of xml files (if they are in subfolders select
the latest or highest valued subfolder), now you want to scroll down until you
find the 'skin.xml' file open this with notepad and you will see something like

this:

where it says netbook2013 will be the name of your currently selected skin, to s
elect the Netbook2013 skin type netbook2013 as shown above and save the file. Th
e game will now load with the Netbook2013 skin selected.

This skin can be used for any purpose as long as its none commerical (i.e. you d
on't charge people to use them, or don't make money directly from using them).
You are free to modify this skin or reuse the xml files for any non-commerical p
urpose, all I ask is you include a credit to me.
Redisribution terms:
You can post this skin anywhere on the internet provided:
1. IT IS NOT TO BE SOLD!!!!
2. They are posted to a free website.
3. You are not to advertise that the skin is exclusive to your paid area.
4. I am credited. (either as michaeltmurrayuk or Michael Murray).
5. The readme stays with them (unless part of a mega/super pack).
