Acknowledgement
Natural abilities are like natural plants, they need pruning by study. On
successful completion of my training at Gandhinagar thermal power station, i would
like to thank some eminent personalities who have been involved with me right from
the beginning of my training work.

I am thankful to chief engineer Mr. J.N. Doshi and executive engineer Mr. A.C.
Patel of the BMD department who granted the permission to do the project at GTPS.
I would like to express my profound gratitude to Barot sir & Savani sir for excellent
cooperation and for giving all kind of needful help.

Words can never be enough when it comes to expressing gratitude towards

our head of the department shri P.D. Solanki for inspiring and guiding me for the
project.

I would also like to thank the administration staff of the GTPS for providing me
various information regarding the power station and literature on the same along with
those who have helped me directly or indirectly to make my project a success.

Finally, I pray the almighty and ask his blessing in my future endeavors.

• ABSTRACT:-

• On the training during G.E.B we get the real practical knowledge of thermal
engineering and we also know how the actual power plant works rather then
we study in our book.

• I placed at boiler maintenance during my training period of 15 days .During the

training I learn the power plant cycle and different components working after
the assembly and how they works in practical application.

• In the first week of our training I visited the different boiler sections and its
parts. In the second week of the training I visited and observed the working of
coal cycle and ash handling systems used at Gandhinagar thermal power
station.

• After the completion of the training I exactly know the how power plant system
works and also about the company profile and about the organization of
Gandhinagar thermal power station.

• So it was a memorable experience for me to take training at this one of the

most leading power sector of Gujarat.
