SCRIPT:
Leader: Good morning everyone! We are the Group 3. Here to present you a
Kabuki play about the 2016 Presidential Miting De Avance and Debate.
MITING DE AVANCE
Hatol: Before we start our debate, let us hear first the Candidates platforms
for our country.
Duterte: Increasing the policemen's salaries. I will raise the salaries of the
righteous policemen who are willing to their job for their nation.
I will bring back the time of death penalty for only those who committed
heavy crimes. We should stop the crime here in our country one by one.
I will make federalism the focus of some branches of studies. It would be
great and useful for our economy's future. I will open more jobs in the
countryside since we are rich in natural resources.
BINAY: I will improve the quality of basic education here in the Philippines. I
will make better transportation system for us to go to places faster and safer.
I will generate jobs in major employment sectors. I will focus on giving jobs in
the high positions of our country.
I will fix the streamlined process in taxation in the country. I will widen up the
process so that it would be fair to everyone.

I will take care of the tight coordination between the national and local
governments. I will do my best to bring back the strong coordination that was
once destroyed.
ROXAS: I will continue the 'Daang Matuwid' that PNoy did. I will lead my
fellow citizen to the right and just way.
We need to encourage more tourists to go to this beautiful undiscovered
island by taking care of the tourist spots around the Philippines.
I will implement the 4Ps throughout the country that can eradicate poverty.
I will make sure that our country is prepared in disasters. I will strengthen the
policemen to stop the unlawful crimes.
POE: I will sustain peace and genuine autonomy in mindanao. I will push for
rule of law and diplomacy, rules-based in West Philippine Sea Dispute. I will
ensure inclusive growth. I will also reform the tax system here in our country.
I will suppress corruption and I will also make an effective delivery of
services.
SANTIAGO: I will work for a full and conscientious implementation of the
RHL. I plan to aggressively fight the war against illegal drugs. I plan to invest
in public infrastructure, agriculture sector, and government institutions.
DEBATE
Hatol: We will now begin the debate. After a candidate answered the
question, another candidate can either ask a follow up question or comment
on the response. This debate focuses on poverty. How will you reduce
poverty?
Binay: We need our community leaders to collaborate more together, obtain
a volunteer following, and funding. This funding, volunteerism, and
community leadership can build thousands and hundreds of thousands of
adequate housing and protection.
Poe: It's so important to promote and support education. Children need to
have the tools available to them in order to study and the support of their
family. Education is the only way on how to reduce poverty for many people.
Roxas: We need to help our own country by promoting a need for charity, a
need for involvement from those that are better off, and a need for
organizations that can support these people in need. We need to help each
other.
Q for Duterte: Our countrys economy has grown and yet many Filipinos are
still poor. How would you distribute the countrys wealth?
Duterte: In order to distribute the countrys wealth, i will get rid of the
corrupt government officials. If our country is free from corruption then our
income will be equal, making it easier to distribute the countrys wealth.

Santiago: I have to agree with Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. He has the right idea
and I suggest killing people who have done a heavy criminal action.
Q for Poe: How high would aiding poverty be on your priority list?
Poe: Knowing that numerous cases of poverty involve the Filipino youth, it is
evident that it is at the top of my list for a simple reason. It is common
knowledge that the youth will be the ones who shall redefine the future.
Roxas: Our perspectives should always be aimed towards the purpose of
walking on the right path, and I see Ms. Grace Poe with the right outlook for
this question. Poverty continuously deteriorates our country as it affects our
country through numerous aspects. Take into consideration our economic
growth.
CLOSING (1.5 minutes)
Hatol: Before we end, let us hear our candidates why they should be the next
president
Binay: As we all know about my experiences in helping the poor, and i
believe that i should be the next president.
Poe: I am new in our government but i will do my best to fix our countrys
problems. I will provide more jobs and stop corruption.
Roxas: Why should i be the president? I want to make your life a better one.
A life free from hunger and violence.
Duterte: I love my country. I am a native filipino. If I get elected and if its
Gods will, i will make sure that drugs, crime and corruption will stop.
Miriam: Our country is looking for a real leader. The leader must have the
mind and the heart for his country. And I believe I am the right one.
Hatol: The Candidates have said their projects and platforms for our country.
I hope this debate will help you to think who is the next deserving president
for our country. I would like to ask your honesty and not bias vote for this
election. Thank you for your cooperation and presence for this event.
