world class renowned equipment / instruments that are time tested. Almost care is taken
for selection of proper material of construction for each component in Saurashtra Ion.
This is so because we believe that appropriate selection of material is vital in such a
sophisticated system.
Saurashtra ion enjoys full technical back up from the world leader in global water
treatment field, some of which are listed below: Filmtec Dow USA, Desal Osmonics, M/s Hydranutics USA for their thin film
composite, polyamide, spiral wound Reverse Osmosis Membranes in India.
GRUNDFOS DENMARK, PROCON USA, D.P.U.S.A. are for their high capacity
multi stage, vertical, centrifugal, pumps, which are dedicated to handle one fluid i.e.,
water.
AQUA Italy is for their accurate Dosing pumps.
Osmosis Filtra, Hytrex USA, Harmsco USA NSF certified Filter Cartridge.
Aqurio JAPAN SS vessels, Structural FRP vessels are for sand filter, Carbon filter
and softener.
M./s Ion Exchange India Ltd for their Ion Exchange Resin.
M/s Filtra is for their wide range of Multi Port Valve.
Features of Reverse Osmosis Membrane :
1. Desal of M/S Osmonics, USA; Filmtec of M/s DOW, USA and M/s
Hydranautics, USA, All these membranes are made up of world class state of Art
Technologies. We preferred it for its reliability and consistent performance.

Features of Grundfos Pump (Grundfos, Denmark ) :

The high pressure pump offered by us will be of Grundfos, Denmark make, an
ISO 9001, company. Grundfos, Denmark make vertical multi stage, stainless steel pumps
having various advantages over he conventional horizontal cast iorn pump supplied by
others, advantages are as the below,
Lower power bills and lower operating cost due to higher electrical efficiency.
They are manufactures specially for the water application.
Vertical configuration leads space saving.
Grundfos made up of specially polished SS-316/SS-316 L plates. Polished inner
surface prevents the microbiological growth to occur.
These are self lubricating pumps and require vertically no attendance and dont
require oil chamber and replacement of the oil/oil seal on regular intervals.
Less stress on the moving parts of the pump compared to others. Grundfos pump are
equipped with special high grade mechanical seal material notusing the glands as
using by other.
Very less noise levels.
Smooth and trouble free operation.
The pumps are fitted with a motor with reinforced bearings.
All materials used in pump manufacturing are having WRC approval.
Anti scalant Dosing In RO Pretreatment
We are using special polymer based anti scalantes in the RO pretreatment against
softening or acid dosing to control the scaling on the RO membranes.
This anti scalant dosing system will have lower operation cost. As softening unit for
such a begin flow will be difficult to manage in terms of size of softener, the amount
of salt to be handled, brine saturation tank with mixing facility to be provided etc.
No use of DG system in post treatment as anti scalant is neutral in nature.
The anti scalant is highly effective in controlling scale formation due to carbonates,
sulphates and metallic oxides precipitation within membranes.
Anti scalant provides longer runtimes between systems cleans resulting in extended
membrane life and reduced operating cost.

PLC Controls and Instrumentation:

Start Raw water pump

The PLC will check the level of dosing tank , if level is OK then start special anti
scalant dosing system.
PLC check the low suction pressure (Low pressure switch) at the inlet of high
pressure pump, pump will start if it is ok.
High pressure switch provided after the high pressure pump will make the pump trip
if it is beyond the set point limit.
Flow meters indicate the flow of raw water which is continuously used as a raw
water in the RO system and also shows the flow of the treated water and also the
reject water.
TDS /Conductivity meter show the treated water quality from the system.
Auto flushing switch for the automatic flushing to clean the membrane for its longer
run time.

BASIS OF DESIGN AND TREATMENT SCHEME

1.1 PLANT INTRODUCTION :
The proposed water treatment scheme is designed to produce product water at the
flow rate of 5000 LPH based on Reverse Osmosis Technology.

parameters and End-Water quality of the system.

operating manual & instructions.

3. Payment : 50% as advance, 40% at the time of inspection by the client at our
factory before delivery of plant and the balance amount will be paid at the time of
installation. All the payment should be in favor of Saurashtra Ion Exchange by DD
or cheque payable at Surat. or Jamnagar branch.
4. Warranty : One year on site. Consumable items like all pre filters not covered in
warranty. Membrane cost will be worked our on 1 year pro-rata basis. All other
parts replacement against manufacturing defect.
5. Delivery : 2 weeks after confirmation of purchase order along with advance.
6. Validity : This quotation valid for 45 days.
7. Service : Above mentioned price is inclusive of installation and commissioning
and one year fee service but lodging, Boarding and Traveling charge will be paid
extra by the client.
