BACKGROUND
This story was written in the 1980s. Back then, computers were
quite different from what they are today. Computer screens were
green or black, and the type appeared in white. Computers had
disk drives, and work was saved on floppy disks. Commands to the
computer were done with keystrokes. The mouse had not yet been
introduced. Whats important in this story is that, back then, it was
pretty unusual for a kid to have his own computer in his room.
