How to correctly pin clothing

This will be the

new length

This will be cut and taken up

Put on trousers or skirt and ask someone
to put a pin where you would like your new
length to be .
Do not lean down to pin yourself as this will
result in fabric moving and being pinned
wrong.
Do not fold the length and pin as this will also
lead to wrong length.
Only pin one leg and double check the length
is correct.
