Smart Casual Attire
A wrinkle-free shirt matched with smart slacks makes for a smart yet casual look. This is
perfect for informal get-togethers with friends. Choosing the right material will make this
outfit suitable for any night or day function.
Formal Attire
The 3-piece ensemble worn with a bow tie spells formality. Normally tailored in dark colours
and worn with a crisp white shirt, the suit is used for highly formal functions such as
weddings and gala dinners.
Sports Attire
Playing sports has never been trendier. Sports clothes made from lycra are extremely
stretchable yet comfortable. Now available in as many hues as the rainbow, there is surely a
design or colour for every jogger, runner or swimmer.
Casual Clothes
The tee-shirt and jeans outfit is the most versatile for any outdoor function. Whether at a
picnic, barbeque or for shopping, you cant go wrong with this get-up. Make a
statement by wearing a specially selected design on your tee-shirt.
Grunge Look
This outfit can only be carried off by the young ones with the right attitude. The clothes may
look crumpled and worn-out but they are actually carefully co-ordinated. This look is not for
everyone.
Office Attire
Slightly more formal than the smart casual, a shirt and a pair of trousers is worn with a tie.
This outfit is what most corporate offices expect their employees to wear. Colours are
generally subtle - light pastel for shirts and dark for trousers.

For each of the descriptions below, name the attire that would suit the following people.

The Living Photograph

My small grandmother is tall there,
straight-back, white broderie anglaise shirt,
pleated skirt, flat shoes, grey bun,
a kind, old smile round her eyes.
Her big hand holds mine,
white hand in black hand.
Her sharp blue eyes look her own death in the eye.
It was true after all; that look.
My tall grandmother became small.
Her back round and hunched.
Her soup forgot to boil.
She went to the awful place grandmothers go.
Somewhere unknown, unthinkable.
But there she is still,
in the photo with me at three,
the crinkled smile is still living, breathing.
