Formando los Adjetivos Comparativos y Superlativos
One-syllable adjectives.
Para formar los Adjetivos Comparativos y Superlativos de una silaba debemos agregarles
las terminaciones: er para formar los comparativos y est para formar los
superlativos.

Si los adjetivos de una silaba terminan en un sola consonante con un vocal delante de esta, se debe
repetir la ultima consonante y luego agregar -er para el comparativo; y agregar est para hacer
los superlativos.

Two-syllable adjectives.
Los adjetivos con mas de dos silabas, debemos formar el Comparativo de la siguiente
forma: escribir more antes del adjetivo que ya NO llevara la terminacin -er; y
para formar el Superlativo, debemos escribir antes del adjetivo most, pero al adjetivo
ya NO le agregamos -est.

Si el adjetivo es de dos silabas y termina en -y y delante de esta y hay una consonante,
debemos cambiar la -y por una i y luego agregar -er si queremos formar los
comparativos, y agregar una -est si queremos formar los Superlativos.

Si tenemos adjetivos con tres o mas silabas debemos escribir more antes del adjetivo
sin cambios, para formar los Comparativos; escribir most antes de los adjetivos para
formar los Superlativos.

Por ejemplo:

Nosotros debemos agregar es al final de algn verbo que termine en las


siguientes letras: O X S SS CH SH.

Debemos agregar s al final de todos los verbos terminados en otras letras que
no fueron nombradas en el punto anterior.
Por ejemplo:

Oraciones negativas:

listens

En las oraciones negativas debemos utilizar los auxiliaries con la negacin not. Estos auxiliares
son: do not o does not; estos deben estar escritos despus del pronombre o sujeto y antes
del verbo, el cual debe ser escrito en infinitivo.
El auxiliar does not debe ser utilizado con los pronombres o sujetos que se relacionan con las
3ras personas del singular (he she it).
El auxiliar do not debe ser utilizado con los pronombres o sujetos que se relacionen con: I YOU WE THEY. (singular y plural)
Ejemplo:

She does not sing a song. (Ella no canta una cancin)


Susan does not buy some candies. (Susan no compra algunos dulces)
They do not travel around the world. (Ellos no viajan por alrededor del mundo)
Thomas and Peter do not work in their proyect. (Thomas y Peter no trabajan en
sus proyectos)

Oraciones de pregunta:

En las oraciones de preguntas o interrogativas, debemos utilizar los auxiliares do o does


antes del pronombre o sujeto; luego de cada pronombre o sujeto, escribimos los verbos
principales en infinitivo (sin cambios).
