Course Catalog
This course provides an introduction to the classical methods and modern techniques in
power system analysis with the aid of a personal computer. Topics include: the concepts of
complex power, balanced three-phase circuits, transmission line parameters, transmission
line performance and compensation, system modeling and per-unit analysis, circuit theory as
applied to power systems, and load flow analysis. (Prerequisite: EE-230)

Examinations:
Two, 1-hour examinations will be given during the course of the term at dates shown below.
A two-hour, comprehensive final examination will be given during final exam week.
Problem Assignments:
