FRAMEWORK
For a number of years, the JKMRC has been applying
two empirical models to estimate muckpile fragmentation distributions in surface blasting operations.

CONCLUSIONS
An engineering approach to predict the proportion of
fines generated during blasting has been presented.
The improved hybrid approach introduces a new
model to predict the potential volume of crushed
material resulting from the crushing and shearing
