Dr. G. D. Pol Foundation's YMT College of Management was established under the aegis of
Yerala Medical Trust and Research Centre by Dr. G.D. Pol, a visionary, in the year 2006.In the
year 2006, the Foundation established YMT College of Management to impart courses in
Management and Computer Application.
The AICTE Approved MMS Course has sanctioned intake of 120 First Shift) & 120 (Second
Shift).
The AICTE Approved MCA Course has sanctioned intake of 60 (First Shift) & 60 (Second Shift)
FACULTY STRENGTH
The institute boasts of very strong and empowered faculty team. The team is a perfect
Balance of corporate as well as academic experience. A team of 20 Core faculty members and
many industry stalwarts as visiting faculty.
At YCOM, several faculty members have acquired PhD in different disciplines and few are in
the process of completion of their PhD.
Together the faculty members have presented many papers for national as well as
International journals.
THE PEDAGOGY
Guest Lectures
YMT College of Management understands the importance of teaching the curriculum and
making the students industry fir and this is done through practical exposure and interaction of
the management students with top executives from industry.
With this in mind a series of guest lectures are regularly conducted by industry honchos and
experts on topics ranging from Entrepreneurship to Quality Management. The lessons learnt
during these sessions are the ones which cannot be gleaned from the book.
Projects
Students are required to undergo a two-month mandatory corporate internship program, the
placement assistance of which is been offered by the institute. This provides an insight into
the functional aspects of the corporate world and also gives an opportunity for the students
to interact with the professionals from the industry. In this internship, the students gain a
thorough knowledge in research methodology, sectoral analysis and a deep understanding
about various functional activities in an organization.
The institute also uses technology to be in touch with the students during their summer
internship through a portal interfacing the students, the faculty guide and the corporate
guide.
Corporate mentoring
The institute has an unique mentoring program wherein a group of 5-6group students are
mentored by a professional from the corporate. The mentoring program has been a
resounding success and has greatly helped the students to bridge the transition from the
classroom to the corporate goals.
The corporate mentors has been applauded the program as it has also helped them gain
insight into the students background and history and provide a platform to share their
experiences and expertise. The mentoring program has resulted in the development of
sharper focus in the students.

Our computer labs of 200 computers are fully functional and updated with latest software for

Our students highest pay package for the year 2013-14: Rs. 5.5 lakh per annum.
