The design, manufacture and performance of the equipment provided under this
specification shall comply with the standards and rules given in the Annexure-I Unless
other wise specified the equipment shall conform to the latest applicable Indian
Standards/ IEC.
All the Indian manufacturers shall supply equipment as per IS and the Foreign
manufacturers shall follow relevant IEC.

The atmosphere is generally laden with mild acid and dust in suspension during
the dry months and is subject to fog in cold months. Heavy lightning strokes are
sometimes encountered in the area during the rainy months. The creepage
distance of the bushing for outdoor circuit breaker should not be less than 25
mm/KV for heavily polluted atmospheric conditions.
All the equipment shall be designed to withstand seismic forces corresponding to
an acceleration of 0.3g.
