Amann-Canovas-Maruri en Luxemburgo

El estudio de arquitectura Amann-Canovas-Maruri y Adelino Magalhaes sern los

encargados de construir, junto al equipo de
paisajismo portugus PROAP Lda, el edificio
de viviendas y espacio pblico situado en
Quartier du Kiem sur en el distrito Plateau de
Kirchberg de Luxemburgo.
El proyecto, que ha resultado ganador del
concurso promovido por Fonds Kirchberg,
propone un edificio con dos caras bien diferenciadas, que se adapta al lugar y sus caractersticas. La abierta a la ciudad, de naturaleza
ms icnica, estable y contundente, por un
lado; y otra ms amable, en contacto con el
interior y sus parques y jardines, que cambia
adems su composicin para responder a las
vistas, las orientaciones y a la posicin especifica en la localizacin, por el otro.
El resultado, volmenes de pocos materiales
que se combinan para obtener un resultado
diverso, donde la madera, el acero y el vidrio
conviven con una vegetacin que adquiere
especial importancia en el conjunto.
En lo relativo a las viviendas, las distintas
condiciones de orientacin y vistas de cada
bloque dan lugar a diversas tipologas, en un
proyecto con gran capacidad de modificacin
y transformacin; donde la sostenibilidad no
viene nicamente definida por los materiales
utilizados, sino tambin por la forma de vida
que albergan las viviendas y los espacios relacin fuera de ellas.

in charge, together with the Portuguese
landscaping team PROAP Lda, of building
the block of flats and public space situated
in Quartier du Kiem south in the Plateau de
Kirchberg district of Luxembourg.
The project, which won the competition
promoted by Fonds Kirchberg, proposes a
building with two well-differentiated faces
that adapts to the place and its characteristics. The one opening on to the city, more
iconic, stable and forceful on one hand, and
another friendlier one in contact with the
interior and its parks and gardens, which
also changes for the other its composition to
respond to the views, orientations and the
specific position in the location.
The result are volumes of few materials combined to obtain a diverse result where wood,
steel and glass coexist with a vegetation that
acquires special importance in the complex.
In regard to the dwellings, the different
conditions of orientation and views in each
block give rise to various typologies in a
project with a high capacity for modification
and transformation, where sustainability is
not defined only by the materials used but
also by the way of life led in the dwellings
and the communal spaces outside of them.
