In this step you can define object information keys.

An object information key can be assigned to the following object types:
Functional location categories

Equipment categories

Maintenance and service notification types

Maintenance and service order types

Via the settings of the object information key, you determine the data of a technical
object (equipment, functional location, structure) that is shown in a special information
window.
You can set whether the notification and order information should be displayed:
for a technical object,

for the higher-level object, or

For the entire structure.

Furthermore, you can determine whether the object information should be displayed
using a pushbutton or

automatically when object information is selected for the object specified. To

activate the display depending on notification and order data, you can define
threshold values, which are used to select historical data through the PM
Information System. When one of the threshold values is reached, the object
information is displayed in the object information window.

Field notification information system and notification selection

If you select the field for completed notifications, then completed notifications are also
selected when you use the notification file to make your selection.
The following lines relate to displaying the selected notifications:
Here you can determine which notifications you want to display for the object
information:
outstanding notifications and/or

completed notifications

Example

CONFIGURATION DOCUMENT:

You want to make sure that object information is always displayed if at least 5
notifications or at least 4 orders were carried out in the last 365 days. The system
should take the last 365 days as well as completed notifications into account when
selecting notifications.
Completed and outstanding notifications should be displayed in the object information.
To do this, you need to make the following settings.

Mark the field automatically.

Enter 365 in the field No. days for notifications in the information system.

Enter 5 for NotifsCreated.

Enter 4 for Orders created.

Enter 365 for Notifications selection.

Mark the field SelComplNotifs.

Mark OutstdgNotifs and CompletedNotifs to display the last notifications in the

object information.

Object information is always automatically displayed when one of the threshold

values defined above is reached.

Reason for Configuration

If you want to settle the maintenance order costs each time in a predefined manner to
cost receiving object e.g., cost center or G/L account, you need a settlement profile.
In the settlement profile, you define a range of control parameters for settlement of
orders. You must define the settlement profile before you can enter a settlement rule
for a sender (e.g. Maintenance Order).
As you cannot maintain the settlement parameters during settlement to a receiver (e.g.
cost center), you must save the settlement profile in the order type settings.

During settlement, costs incurred under the primary and secondary cost elements by a
sender are allocated to one or more receivers.
An allocation structure comprises one or several settlement assignments. An assignment
shows that which costs (origin: debit cost elements) are to be settled to which receiver type
(for example, cost center, order, and so on).
You assign the debit cost element to a settlement cost element or you settle by cost
element - that is, the debit cost element itself is the settlement cost element.

can differentiate notification types by organizational units, departments or process steps,

We have defined different notification types for PM functionality and PP process

Each notification type references a notification category and an origin.
The origin defines a suitable screen control in the notification transactions.

Reason for Configuration

Define Scope of Check:
To define the check scope. Checking group and checking rule together specify the scope
of the check.
You can specify the following: which elements relevant to MRP (inward goods
movements/outward goods movements) are taken into account (for example, purchase
requisition, purchase order, planned order)
which stock categories are taken into account
whether replenishment lead time is checked
Define Inspection Control:
To define the check control. You can make the checking rule as well as the actual check
itself dependent on the following parameters:
plant
order type
operation
The operation can have the following characteristics:
Order created (Buss. Function 1)
Release order (Buss. Function 2)
Control parameters
In addition to this, you can specify whether a planned order can be converted to a
production order using collective conversion in both the cases of create and release:
o
o

o

missing parts
missing PRTs or
insufficient capacity

Actions
Define the following:
whether an availability check is to be carried out when you create or release an
order
whether an availability check is to be carried out when you save an order that has
been created or released
what effect a material shortfall is to have on the creation or release of an order
Maintenance orders (PM)/Service orders (CS)
: The automatic check at time 1 (create), is not executed for maintenance orders.
You can only carry out the check manually before you have released your
maintenance orders.
The automatic check at time 2 (release) is executed if it is switched on.
Notes on capacity availability check
You can determine how an order is released in the case of capacity shortfall:
release determined by user
release
no release

Reason for Configuration

To define the possible conditions of reference objects functional location and
equipment, in a maintenance order. You can enter a system condition in the
maintenance order for every operation or at header level.
Effects when the Reservation by PM setting is selected:
In the master records of technical objects, there is an option of defining a production
work center in the field work center.
If a system condition 0: not in operation, is defined in the maint. order then in PP
module, it will block the capacity dispatching of the production work center, which is
defined as work center in the maintenance order reference object master record, until
the maintenance order is technically complete.
Note: Using this system condition, you can determine whether the operation must be
carried out during production or when the system is shut down.
