Yes, the meta-center is depends on the centre of gravity. The centre of buoyancy
of a floating body is the point about which all the body parts exactly buoy each
otherin other words, the effective centre of the displaced water. The metacentre,M remains directly above the centre of buoyancy regardless of the tilt of a
floating body. When at rest or the weight is at zero, centre of buoyancy,B is
directly below the centre of gravity,G as well as below the meta-centre,M as
shown below.

When tilt or when the weight is moved to the right or left, the centre of buoyancy
moves and is no longer directly under the centre of gravity. Position of metacentre body, M is above the gravity centre of the body, G. This will make the
body in the equalibrium and make it stablilize as shown below.

The position of meta-centre body, M is below the gravity centre of the body, G.
This make the body not in equalibrium and become unstable. Then we can prove
that the centre grevity of the body effect the position of meta-centric centre of
the body as shown below.

The length of meta-centric center height GM above G is a measure of

stability: the larger it is, the more stable is the floating body.

Yes, the position of meta-centre will change according to the angle.from the
equation,
This is because when the weight is shifted to the left or right with small different
angles, the
]centre of buoyancy and the centre of gravity changes position. Thus, we can say
thatthe position of meta-centre will change and according to the angle.from the
equation,

Meta-centric position, GM

The position of meta-centre of the body is linear with 1/ tan , where when the
value of is become smaller, the value of GM become greater, and vice-versa

CONCLUSION
From the experiment, we can conclude that firstly, the position of meta-centric,
M for the body is changing according to the position of the body gravity center.
Secondly, the position of meta-centric, M is also changing according to the angle,
. Next, the location of meta-center is change according to the tilt angle and
inversely proportional to the tilt angle. The meta-centric position, M is linear to
1/. The position of meta-center will change according to the angle from the
equation,

Meta-centric position,
The position of meta-center of the body is linear with 1/ , in which when the
value of becomes smaller, the value of GM become greater and it is the same
for the opposite situation.

However, the result is quite different with the theoretical value that can get from
the equation given. This may due to some errors during the experiment is being
done. Therefore few precaution steps should be taken to avoid the errors such
as avoiding the parallax error when taking the reading. Next, make sure the
plump bob really stop before taking the reading. Lastly, always adjust the thread
at zero mm to avoid tilt at initial step of procedure.
