REDUCE, REUSE, AND RECYCLE FOR BETTER ENVIRONMENT IN

ENGINEERING FACULTY
Waste is emissions that resulting from a process production in industry or
domestic. That people live , there is various types that waste will be produced
.There is garbage , there is any water by produced by PUP and there are the water
the activities other domestic .Waste categorized into three : waste organic , waste
inorganic and waste hazardous materials and poisonous or B3 .
Reduce, reuse, recycle and replace (4R) is the best way to solve waste
problem. The Waste can throw away, that dont include the old electronic.
Recycling old electronics keep toxic components from contaminating the
environment. The benefit of 4R is oganic like leaves can be change for plastic,
that can be used to warp something that we buy or reduce the waste of anorganic
that the long of decomposition, the example is that if we want buy something in
canteen univesity we should to bring plasic bag self, so the plastic bag that we
bring from home doesnt multiply and the trash not fully of waste.
Like other institute, Engineering Faculty also had the same problem, that
trash in the engineering faculty is not only limited to the electronic waste, but also
organic waste, anorganic waste, or etc. The waste can be recycle in the Final
disposal place, the example is waste the snack that recycle to be unique costumes
in carnival. And then reuse the anything waste that cant be sold. For example the
fabric that cant be cloth change to a keset.

Reuse means reuse waste that can still be used for the same function or
other functions. Reduce means reducing everything that resulted in the trash. And
Recycle means to reprocess (recycling) waste into products or new products that
are useful.
Examples of reuse of everyday activities :
1. Choose containers, bags or objects that can be used multiple times or
repeatedly. For example, use cloth napkins instead of using tissue, using a
battery that can be charged back.

Examples reduce their daily activities :

1. Choose products with packaging that can be recycled.
2. Avoid wearing and buying products that generate waste in large quantities.
3. Use products that can be recharged (refilled). Eg stationery that can be
recharged again).
4. Maximize the use of electronic storage devices that can be erased and
rewritten.
5. Reduce the use of disposable materials.
6. Use both sides of paper for writing and copying.
7. Avoid buying and sporting goods less necessary.

Examples recycle everyday activities :

1. Select a product and the packaging are recyclable and biodegradable.
2. If waste paper into paper or cardboard back.

3. Perform processing of organic waste into compost.

4. Perform processing of non-organic waste into useful items.
