Introduction
Many of the questions on the Math sections of the
SAT are genuine brain teasers that require sophisticated problem-solving skills. To succeed, you must
combine your knowledge of number operations,
algebra, geometry, data analysis, statistics, and probability with a good measure of outside the box
thinking that you wont learn in math class.
Luckily, this unique program can help you excel! Your
instructors warm, conversational delivery and keen
insight will help you make sense of even the most
convoluted problems. Youll learn to answer all types
of SAT Math questions from multiple-choice to
grid-ins quickly, easily, and accurately. After viewing this program, youll be able to make the most of
your time and earn every point you can.
For easier studying and maximum success, we recommend that you view the program over a number of
short sessions: dont try to absorb too much at one
time. Review the entire program, or specific sections,
as many times as you find necessary in order to master the material.
Perhaps most importantly: dont forget to take advantage of your pause button while viewing the
program. This will allow you to try the problems in
this study guide before you view the solutions on the
screen. Keep plenty of scrap paper handy so you can
jot down ideas, work through concepts, and more.
And finally, be sure to use the myriad on-screen
graphics to take notes for yourself when youre
done, youll have a notebook you can refer back to
again and again.

instructor works through the exercises found in this
guide and much, much more during the course of the
actual program.
2. The figures accompanying the problems are intended to provide information useful in solving the
problems. These figures are drawn as accurately as possible EXCEPT when it is stated in the problem that the figure is not drawn to scale. All figures lie in a plane unless otherwise indicated.
3. Unless otherwise specified, the domain of any function f is assumed to be the set of all real numbers x for which f(x) is a real number.
