The Scout Movement has a commitment to creating a

better world.
El Movimiento Scout tiene un compromiso con la
construccin de un mundo mejor.

This is literally community involvement through

Scouting.
Esto es, literalmente, el involucramiento comunitario a
travs del Movimiento Scout.

So society benefits from the Scout Movement by

empowering young people as responsible and
committed citizens.
As, la sociedad se beneficia del Movimiento Scout
mediante el empoderamiento de los jvenes como
ciudadanos responsables y comprometidos.

Scouting should identify opportunities, within Scouting

itself and externally, for young people and adult
volunteers to be active in society.

que jvenes y adultos voluntarios sean activos en la
sociedad.

Scout Movement has worked for many years on finding

possible tools that could enhance possibilities for young
people to contribute to the positive development of their
communities.
El Movimiento Scout ha trabajado durante muchos aos en
la bsqueda de posibles herramientas que puedan
mejorar las posibilidades de los jvenes para contribuir al
desarrollo positivo de sus comunidades.

At a certain point in Scouting history, it became clear that we

needed to work on something more appealing for young
people to contribute to community development.
En un determinado momento de la historia del Movimiento
Scout, se hizo evidente que tenamos que trabajar en algo
ms atractivo para los jvenes para contribuir al desarrollo
de la comunidad.

It was finally found in the World Scout Programmes:

Scouts of the World Award, World Scout Environment
Programme, and Messengers of Peace.

Mundiales: Reconocimiento Scouts del Mundo, Programa
Scout Mundial de Medioambiente y Mensajeros de la Paz.

The three World Scout Programmes aim to motivate the

active citizen inside all young people, Scout or non-Scout,
and inspire them to action.
Los tres Programas Scout Mundiales tienen como objetivo
motivar al ciudadano activo en el interior de todos los
jvenes, Scouts o no-Scout, e inspirarlos a la accin.

This is how World Scout Programmes are working

together in a general framework to create a better world
in a global network of service.

The World Scout Environment Programme offers tools,

resources and initiatives to help Scouts all around the
world to work together for the good of the local and
global environment.
El Programa Scout Mundial de Medio Ambiente ofrece
herramientas, recursos e iniciativas para ayudar a los
Scouts de todo el mundo a trabajar juntos por el bien del
medio ambiente local y global.

The programme focuses on the environment in a broad sense

and encourages the Scouts to have a holistic awareness of
the natural world and how their day by day actions can
impact upon this.
El programa se centra en el medio ambiente en un sentido
amplio y alienta a los Scouts a tener un conocimiento
integral del mundo natural y cmo sus acciones diarias
pueden tener un impacto en este.

The Scouts of the World Award challenges all young people,

Scouts and non-Scouts, to reflect upon global issues and
act upon them at local level.
El Reconocimiento Scouts del Mundo desafa a todos los
jvenes, Scouts y no Scouts, para reflexionar sobre los
problemas globales y actuar sobre ellos a nivel local.

It is the only award for youth provided by

World Scouting.

The Messengers of Peace Vision 2021 is to motivate at

least two thirds of the 40 million Scouts in the
World as effective Messengers of Peace, transforming
positively the World and sending a message of peace at
least to 200 million people.

La Visin 2021 de Mensajeros de la Paz es motivar al

menos a dos tercios de los 40 millones de Scouts
en el mundo como efectivos Mensajeros de la Paz,
transformando positivamente el mundo y enviando un
mensaje de paz al menos a 200 millones de personas.
