The theme verse for all of Acts that we have read so far in my opinion is, "But you will

receive
power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all
Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" Acts 1:8 This shows that this was Jesuss plan
from the very beginning, that he wanted his word will reach all ends of the earth. Acts shows us
how the movement of Christianity started. The apostles needed to share the resurrection of
Christ, not so much all what he did when he was alive, but that he died, and rose again, and that
he will come back one day. Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus
Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The
promise is for you and your children and for all who are far offfor all whom the Lord our God
will call. Acts 2:38-39 As the apostles spread and carried the word, the Lord continued to add to
the number of people who were being saved. The new believers met everyday and broke bread
together, they sold property to give to the needy, they met everyday in the temple courts to
worship, and they broke bread in their homes to eat together. One thing that they struggled with
was people trying to convince them not to spread the world of God. Which is right in Gods
eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about
what we have seen and heard. Acts 4:19-20 They chose to do what was right in Gods eyes and
continued to spread the word of God.
the followers of Jesus in the first century was most definitely harder than walking in his footsteps
in our society today. Just look back at history and it show us all the wonderful things he's done for
us. The Bible is my playbook, God is my head coach and Jesus is my assistant head coach. When
i'm having problems with one the plays I call on Jesus Christ and he'll see me through.
The disciples begin working unbelievable miracles just to show their loyalty to Christ. Acts 1-4 The
author himself wants to emphasize that Jesus appearing after his suffering is not made up. No man
knows the time that God has set to restore his kingdom. Talks about the Holy spirit Jesus will
return the same way he went. A disciple was added to make it 12. The first time the Holy Spirit is
entering a man. Everyone that calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. David had prophesized
about Jesus coming and rising from the dead. They told the man to repent, and be baptized in the
name of Jesus, and then the Holy Spirit will come in them. The breaking of bread and prayer are
big to the early believers. There is no other name under heaven by which men are saved. No need
of hiding what God has done. The Holy Spirit causes the men to speak the Word with boldness.
Men are called to sell all their belongings again.
Acts 19-20 Paul teaches those who were baptized by John that Jesus was the one John the Baptist
spoke of. Some were trying to do what Jesus and Paul did, but could not. The men are called to be
overseers of the flock.
