Prior to coming to San Diego City College, Anthony served eight years as
President of the San Diego Continuing Education (SDCE), also part of the
San Diego Community College District and one of the largest separately
accredited institution of its kind in the nation. SDCE serves more than
50,000 students each year from six comprehensive campuses and 300
community and neighborhood sites. One of the hallmarks of Dr. Beebes
service has been his efforts to establish non-credit to credit pathways,
building enrollments at the credit colleges.

Nish has been awarded the Joe Rindone Excellence in Education Award
from the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce; the 80th Assembly District
Woman of the Year by Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez; and the
prestigious Diogenes Award from the Public Relations Society of AmericaSan Diego/Imperial Counties for her candor and transparency with the
media.

A California native, Dr. Jill Stearns was raised in the Central Valley and
began her community college journey in online education at the West Hills
Community College District. During her twelve years at West Hills, she held
a number of administrative positions including three years as chief student
services officer and five years as the chief instructional officer.
Her experience includes accreditation, enrollment management, capital
construction projects, and integrated planning. Under Dr. Stearns
leadership, Modesto Junior College has become an Achieving the Dream
institution, been awarded a pilot baccalaureate degree in respiratory care,
and was recently selected as eligible for the Aspen Prize for Community
College Excellence.
