1. TEMA.
Unidad didctica de la asignatura de Ingls desarrollada para los alumnos de 3 de ESO,
donde se repasarn los tiempos verbales aprendidos y cuyas expresiones y vocabulario girarn
en torno al mundo de la moda.
2. INTRODUCCIN.
Como justificacin terica de los contenidos prcticos que vamos a desarrollar en esta unidad
didctica, haremos referencia a la relacin que tiene sta dentro del proyecto curricular; a los
alumnos que va dirigido; y el nivel de estudios de los alumnos. Tambin aadiremos que esta
unidad didctica que presentamos, estara incluida dentro del proyecto educativo de centro
(diseado a principios de curso, en el que se incluyen todos los contenidos, objetivos,
metodologa, etc. de los temas que se vayan a tratar en cada asignatura que se imparta ese ao
acadmico en el centro).
* Proyecto curricular
Nuestra propuesta de unidad didctica se incluye dentro de un proyecto curricular el
cual sigue las siguientes pautas metodolgicas.
En general, hemos enmarcado nuestra unidad didctica dentro del enfoque
comunicativo, prestando una mayor atencin en:
- la atencin al significado.
- Los procedimientos y los modos de participacin.
- La contribucin del alumno en el proceso de aprendizaje.
- El desarrollo de conceptos, procedimientos y habilidades.
- El uso del ingls para hacer preguntas que estn relacionadas con la resolucin
de problemas.
- La participacin de los alumnos y la responsabilidad entre los procesos de
aprendizaje y en la negociacin de las tareas curriculares.
- En la medida de lo posible, hemos intentado hacer que las tareas propuestas
sean verosmiles y realistas, es decir, cercanas a las situaciones reales de la vida
diaria.
- Hemos incluido actividades de distintos niveles de dificultad (avanzado, medio,
inicial) como medida para cubrir las necesidades y expectativas de una clase con
un nivel no uniforme.
- Hemos tenido en cuenta los conocimientos y habilidades con los que llegan los
alumnos desde la educacin primaria, y el nivel de ingles que normalmente se
adquiere.
- Aunque hayamos distribuido los contenidos en tres bloques distintos:
(comunicacin oral y escrita, aspectos socioculturales y reflexin sobre la
lengua) se apreciar que stos se incluyen en la unidad a travs de distintos tipos
de actividades.
- Las actividades por parejas y el trabajo en grupo han sido programadas con
regularidad, para fomentar el aprendizaje cooperativo.
- Los contenidos interdisciplinares que se incluyen en esta unidad sirven para
animar al estudiante a concienciarse de la utilidad de aprender en general, y
aprender ingls en particular. En esta unidad didctica se incluyen temas
relacionados con otras reas de conocimiento como son Lengua Castellana (ya
que para estudiar los tiempos verbales en ingls, es preciso que posean un
conocimiento previo de lo son los tiempos verbales y las clases que existen en
espaol) e Historia (ya que deben tener conocimientos histricos del siglo XX para
realizar algunas de las actividades propuestas, y relacionarlos con la historia de
EE.UU.) En esta unidad didctica tambin hemos incluido Educacin para la
Salud.
* Alumnos a los que va dirigido: 3 ESO (14-15 aos). Nivel de estudios:
preparacin para 4 ESO (repaso de la gramtica aprendida anteriormente,
ampliacin de vocabulario, aprendizaje de tcnicas para la elaboracin de breves
composiciones, fomentar la participacin de los alumnos a travs de la expresin
oral, etc)
* Duracin de la unidad didctica: 6 sesiones de 1hora cada una, en total dos
semanas aproximadamente (tres horas semanales).
4. CONTENIDOS.
4.1.Conceptuales (Ver mapa conceptual, pgina 8 y siguientes)
En este tema trataremos los siguientes contenidos conceptuales: haremos un repaso de los
tiempos verbales (presente simple, presente continuo, pasado simple, pasado continuo y futuro
simple).
Adems ampliaremos el vocabulario del alumno, introduciendo el tema de la ropa, cmo
describir a una persona (rasgos fsicos y de carcter).
Tambin se le indicar cmo realizar una reclamacin en una tienda.
Se har un repaso de la fontica y se ampliarn conocimientos.
Por ltimo, en el apartado cultural, el alumno tendr la ocasin de comparar las culturas
britnica/americana con la espaola, ya que se hace referencia a la fiesta de Halloween y a la
celebracin del Da de Todos los Santos.
4.1 Procedimentales
Los siguientes procedimientos, aptitudes y estrategias pueden llegar a alcanzarse y
desarrollarse a travs de las actividades sealadas entre parntesis: (ver la relacin de
actividades en ANEXO I) .
Inducir y aplicar reglas gramaticales y probar su efectividad en la
comprensin de textos orales y escritos (act. 3.1, 3.2, 4, 5).
Deducir significados del contexto sin la ayuda del diccionario (act. 2.1, 2.2, 4,
6, 8).
- Refuerzo del vocabulario y de los elementos lingsticos estudiados anteriormente
(act. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7,...).
- Reconocer y producir elementos que proporcionen coherencia en textos orales
y escritos (act. 3, 4, 5, 10, 11).
- Negociar significados y desarrollar estrategias que ayuden a la
comunicacin (act. 2.2, 7.2, 10, 11).
- Identificar elementos semnticos, sintcticos, funcionales y sociolingsticos
de una mayor complejidad al requerirlo las nuevas situaciones comunicativas
(act.3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 14).

Relacin de los alumnos en la clase y con el profesor, de una forma libre y/o
guiada (act.1, 3, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 19, 20, 21).
Participar en juegos de rol y simulaciones, usando la improvisacin, y
siguiendo modelos proporcionados en la unidad (act.10, 11).
Reconocer a los participantes, el medio, el lugar y los papeles interpretados en
un acto comunicativo (act. 7, 10, 14).
Deducir e interpretar significados en contextos ms complejos, y usarlos en
situaciones relativas a la vida cotidiana (act. 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14).
Saber diferenciar entre las formas de expresin formal e informal. (act. 18)
Reflexionar sobre las formas de cortesa en ingls (act. 18).
Comparar el modo en que estn escritas las palabras y su manera de
pronunciarse (act. 16, 17, 18).
Identificar y discriminar los elementos fonticos: sonidos, acentos, ritmo y
entonacin, incluyendo ciertas caractersticas del ingls norteamericano (act.
8, 16, 17, 18).
Utilizar el diccionario y saber interpretar las abreviaciones, elegir el
significado adecuado, y usar los smbolos fonticos para aclarar la
pronunciacin (act. 8, 16, 17, 18).
Practicar la pronunciacin de palabras sueltas y frases hechas (act. 8, 16, 17,
18).
Aprender a realizar descripciones de las personas (act. 3, 5, 12, 13, 15).
Usar el diccionario y descubrir el significado de palabras nuevas relacionadas
con lo estudiado en esta leccin (act. 2.2, 5, 12, 14, 15, 19, 21).
Crear situaciones comunicativas siguiendo el modelo dado en la leccin (act.
6, 7, 10, 11, 12).
Relacionarse con el resto de los compaeros para describir amigos y adivinar
la persona descrita usando varias fuentes comunicativas (act. 12, 13).
Completar textos incompletes eligiendo los elementos que faltan (act. 2.2, 14).
Desarrollar las capacidades bsicas de redaccin para describir a las personas
(act. 3, 12, 13).
Identificar algunos de los elementos relacionados en la descripcin de
personas: apariencia, carcter, ropa, complementos, etc (act. 1, 2, 5, 12, 13,
14, 15).
Componer descripciones con y sin elementos de ayuda (act. 12, 13).
Reconocer las caractersticas socioculturales relacionadas con los textos y
situaciones comunicativas estudiadas (act. 19, 21).
Realizar comparaciones entre las caractersticas socioculturales de la lengua
maternal y la lengua extranjera, haciendo referencia a Gran Bretaa y EE.UU.
(act. 19).
Inventar textos apoyndose en los ya dados (act. 3, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13).
Reconocer la distinta entonacin de las preguntas S/NO y de las preguntas
que empiezan por Wh-. (act. 8).
Deducir el significado de los elementos bsicos necesarios para la descripcin
de personas o de perjuicios (act. 2, 5, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15).
Establecer comparaciones entre la celebracin del da 1 de noviembre en
Espaa y en los pases anglosajones (act. 19).
4.2 Actitudinales
Las siguientes actitudes y valores se podrn adquirir y desarrollar mediante las actividades
sealadas entre parntesis:
6. METODOLOGA.
La metodologa empleada para desarrollar esta unidad didctica va acorde con el enfoque
comunicativo sobre el que se desarrolla dicha unidad. El Diseo Curricular Espaol, el cual
est basado en una serie de principios que han sido adoptados por las comunidades autnomas.
Por ejemplo (Madrid and McLaren 1995:18-20)
- La lengua es fundamentalmente un instrumento de comunicacin.
- El objetivo final de la enseanza de las lenguas extranjeras consiste en el
desarrollo de la competencia comunicativa del alumno.
- La lengua maternal puede ser beneficiosa para el desarrollo de la lengua
extranjera, y la lengua extranjera puede contribuir a que se conozca mejor la
lengua materna.

7. EVALUACIN.
Los criterios de evaluacin que vamos a tener en cuenta a la hora de evaluar al alumno
seran los siguientes:
Comprensin oral y escrita:
- Habilidad para comprender textos orales y escritos (dilogos, narraciones,
descripciones, etc.) para que trabajen tanto con informacin general como especfica.
- Usar elementos formales y dentro de contexto.
- Desarrollar estrategias que sean tiles a la hora de interpretar los mensajes.
- Mostrar una actitud receptiva con los distintos tipos de informacin dada.
Expresin oral y escrita:
- Habilidad para poder expresarse de una forma comprensible en las situaciones
cotidianas, adaptarse al desarrollo del tema, participando y respetando la estructura
del discurso formal.
- Saber reconocer la estructura del discurso formal.
- Mostrar inters al usar la lengua inglesa, cuanto ms mejor.
Capacidad/Habilidad lectora
- Habilidad para leer textos de una extensin considerable escritos en una lengua
extranjera (ingls). Estos textos tratarn sobre temas cercanos al estudiante.
- Usar las estrategias adecuadas de lectura. use of appropriate reading strategies

- Usar las estrategias adecuadas para enfrentarse a los problemas que puedan
aparecer.
Reflexin sobre la lengua y la comunicacin
- Habilidad para utilizar con eficacia todas los recursos comunicativos y lingsticos
que se han asimilado a travs de este apartado.
- Mostrar un cierto nivel de conceptualizacin de las nociones y funciones estudiados
(elementos lingsticos, fonticos, semnticos y morfosintcticos)
Autonoma para el aprendizaje:
-Habilidad para organizar y participar en los procesos individuales de aprendizaje y
aplicarlos a las distintas situaciones.
- Transmitir las habilidades de la lengua maternal hacia el ingls.
- Elegir las tcnicas y estrategias adecuadas que puedan aplicarse en contextos y
situaciones reales.
Aspectos socioculturales:
- Habilidad para identificar y apreciar los elementos socioculturales que se presentan
de forma implcita y explcita en los textos dados.
- Comprender las distintas opiniones que estn condicionadas culturalmente.
- Desarrollo del respeto hacia otros valores y formas de comportamiento.
* Cundo y cmo evaluar:
La evaluacin que llevaremos a cabo ser continua. Es decir, el profesor deber hacer un
seguimiento diario del trabajo del alumno (oral y escrito), esto contar un 20% de la nota final;
el examen sobre los contenidos dados (cada 2 temas) constituir un 60% de la nota final; y el
ltimo 20% se puntuar en base al comportamiento y actitud que el alumno muestre durante las
clases.
8. ATENCIN A LA DIVERSIDAD.
En este apartado, tendremos en cuenta a los alumnos con mayores dificultades a la hora de
aprender. Haremos hincapi en su aprendizaje revisando de una forma peridica el trabajo
realizado en clase; a su vez evaluaremos slo los contenidos bsicos del tema, y si existiera la
posibilidad, formaramos un grupo de apoyo para reforzar aquellos aspectos en los que tuvieran
mayor dificultad (por ejemplo durante los recreos, dos veces por semana). Si el alumno
necesitara una adaptacin curricular significativa hablaramos con su tutor y el orientador del
centro para encontrar la mejor solucin son respecto a su proceso de aprendizaje.
