It is important to note that, in general, I have assumed the home town where the subject currently resides as the
place of birth and the home town of the previous personality as the place of death. This is because, in majority of
the cases, I was unable to get data about the exact place of births and deaths.
In some cases, wherever possible, if the precise locations of births and deaths were known, I have used those to
calculate the distances.
For instance, let us say that the previous personality was having residence in town A and he died in a vehicle
accident and the subject (i.e. the reborn child) has residence in town B, which are, lets say, 12 kilometres apart.
Now, in such a case, I have assumed distance between place of death and place of rebirth to be 12 kilometres,
although, theoretically, the place of death, that is the place of vehicle accident may be many kilometres away
from the town A. Therefore, this is only an approximate distance since I was unable to find data about precise
locations of the places of the accidents.
The data above was analyzed by dividing the cases into three categories.
A) If Distance was less than 10 miles, then based on data above, following values of time (in years) were
obtained. 0, 0.04, 0.4, 0.5, 0.5, 0.8, 1, 1, 1.4, 1.33, 1.6, 4, 4, 7.4 years (Note: 3 days approximated as 0
years, 15 days means 0.04 years, 6 months means 0.5 years and so on).
Average time: 1.71 years

B) If Distance was at least 10 miles, but less than 50 miles, then following values of time (in
years) were obtained.
0.66, 0.75, 0.8, 1, 1.25, 1.4, 1.5, 5, 5, 6, 8.5, 9, 10, 31
Average time: 5.85 years (note: one sample above, the last one, is unusually large, that is 31, which
is severely affecting average time value. If we do not take that last sample into account, the average
time will be 3.91 years. )

C) If Distance was at least 50 miles, but less than 500 miles, then following values of time (in years) were
obtained. 0.25, 1.4, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9
Average time: 4.24 years
The impression that I got after reading the statistical data above is that, in general, if the child is claiming to have
been reborn within a few miles (for example, 3 or 7 or even 11 miles), then the time duration ranges from a
few months to, may be around 2 or 3 years or so . After that, as the distance increases, time duration also
increases, but slowly, to reach somewhat like a flat curve, that is maintaining more or less an average of about 4
to 6 years although the values may vary greatly from one individual case to another.
Also, it is important to note that the sample size here is relatively small (that is 37 children). So, the statistical
results obtained above may not be accurate. More accurate results may be obtained by using a larger sample size
(by using the data from, lets say, 200 or 300 cases of children). Most of the data above (about distance and
time duration) was extracted randomly from the case reports made by Dr. Ian Stevenson and researchers
associated with him. Remaining small amount of data was extracted randomly from cases which were published
in news websites. All this data was obtained by downloading it from the internet. This study of statistical data
above was made in June 2014.
