LINE N1
Definition
This line is parallel and anterior to the central line of gravity. It is independant. As
these lines constantly change position, they have to work in synergy and harmony
in order to maintain the balance between the trunk, the head and the limbs.
Situation
This line controls thoracic and abdominal pressures using the diaphragm as a key.
It is the link between the mandibulae and pubis symphysis.
If this vertical anterior line falls in front of the symphysis pubis, well find an
increase of thoracic pressure, a blockage of the diaphragm, a dysfunction of
T4, an anteversion of the iliac bones, a tendency for genu recurvatum and
hallux valgus.
If this vertical anterior line falls behind the symphysis pubis, well find an
increase of visceral pressure, a compression of internal organs, an
interference with aortic and iliac circulations, a possible neurasthenia and
a tendency for genu flexum, talalgia and sub-talus issues.
The anterior central line must be perpendicular to the transverse pubic line that well
describe further. This line is horizontal and plays an important part in compressive
visceral dysfunctions and in the weight distribution on the femurs or thighbones.
Definition
This line unites the occiput to the intergluteal fold, passing behind the spinous process
of C7.
Situation
It is parallel to the central and to the anterior lines of gravity. These three lines are
independent from one another.
Definition
It is horizontal and passes through both pubic tubercles.
Situation
It is perpendicular to the central, anterior and posterior lines of gravity. These four
lines are interdependent and control the abdominal and thoracic pressures. They
are linked by the three diaphragms:
Tentorium cerebelli,
Thoracic diaphragm,
Pelvic diaphragm.
CONCLUSION
The three vertical lines must form a 90 angle with the transverse pubic line. Their
shifting defines the lumbar and cervical arrows.
