Lakeside Valley Constitution

We the People of Lakeside Valley, in Order to form a more perfect society, establish Justice,
insure domestic Tranquillity, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare,
and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this
Constitution for Lakeside Valley.

Article 1
Section 1
All legislative and executive Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress, which shall
consist of representatives from each faction (LEO, CIV, EMS) of Lakeside.
The Congress of Lakeside Valley shall not exceed 7 Congress members. Congress shall consist
of no more than 2 LEO, 3 CIV and 2 EMS. Each Congress member shall have one vote.
No person shall be a Congress member who shall not have attained to the age of 16 and been 1
month a Citizen of Lakeside Valley by election.
Congress shall choose their Speaker with a majority vote with at least 4 votes counted.

Section 2
Elections for Congress members shall be held monthly on every 25th of the month, in the
elections section of Government State.
The candidates with the most votes win.
When vacancies happen in the congress, the Speaker thereof shall issue Writs of Election to
fill such Vacancies!
Congress shall assemble at least once every week, and such Meeting shall be on the Sunday of
every week, unless they shall by Law appoint a different Day.

Section 3
The Congress shall have Power to introduce bills, promote bills to law, Duties of impeachment
and provide for the common enforcement and general Welfare of Lakeside Valley
Every Bill which shall have passed Congress shall become Law.
To become law, bills require a majority vote with a minimum of 4 votes counted.

Congress has the power to strike down legislation through a three quarters majority vote with a
minimum of 5 votes counted.
Congress has the power to amend the constitution with a six of seven majority with a minimum
of 6 votes counted. This guards against that extreme facility which would render the
Constitution too mutable; and to guard against extreme difficulty which might perpetuate its
discovered faults the supreme court can vote if requested by at least 4 congress members. The
Supreme Court holds two votes.
Congress has the power to impeach with a majority vote with at least 5 votes counted; any
member of congress, chief justice, Sherriff and EMS and Fire chief, and to take to trial before
the Supreme Court who will determine guilt and judgment.
Congress will appoint its own legal council to act as prosecution during an impeachment trial.
In the event of a vacancy through resignation or impeachment congress will through open and
fair competition fill the vacancy of the;
Sherriff, with a LT+ in the Sheriffs Office
EMS and Fire Chief, with a LT+ in the EMS and Fire Department
Chief Justice, with a Justice on the Supreme Court.

Section 4
The Speaker, members of Congress, Chief Justice, Sherriff and EMS of Lakeside Valley, shall
be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other
high Crimes and Misdemeanours.

Article 2
Section 1
The judicial Power of Lakeside Valley shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such
inferior Courts which are the District Court and Court of Appeals. The Judges, both of the
supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at
stated Times, receive for their Services, a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during
their Continuance in Office.

Section 2
The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution,
the Laws of the Lakeside Valley.
In all Cases involving impeachment, the Supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. The
supreme court has the power of judging guilt in a case involving impeachment In all the other
Cases, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such
Exceptions.

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and
disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honour, Trust or Profit under Lakeside Valley:
but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment
and Punishment, according to Law.
The Trial of all Crimes were possible, except in Cases of Impeachment which must be heard
by the Supreme Court, shall be by Judge/Justice/Chief Justice.
The Lakeside Valley Department of Justice is exempt from civil proceedings being perused
against it.

First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free
exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people
peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Second Amendment
A well regulated Police force, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the
people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Third Amendment
No Officer shall, in time of peace occupy any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in
time of marshal law, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Fourth Amendment
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against
unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but
upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place
to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Firth Amendment
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an
impartial Judge of the State, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be
confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses
in his favour, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

Sixth Amendment

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual
punishments inflicted.

Seventh Amendment
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or
disparage others retained by the people.

Ninth Amendment
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by Congress
on account of race, colour, or previous condition of servitude

Tenth Amendment
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United
States or by any State on account of sex.
