Welcome Message The 8th Liver Update

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is indeed a great honour
and privilege for us to invite you to attend The 8th Liver Update
and The 22nd Scientific Meeting of Ina ASL/PPHI 2015 to be held
from 1 4 October, 2015 in Novotel Mangga Dua Hotel, Jakarta. The theme is carefully
chosen : Recent Development in Hepatopancreatobiliary Diseases which reflects
the ongoing trends in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of Hepatopancreatobiliary
Diseases.
Our Hepatobiliary Division in collaboration with Indonesian Association for the Study
of the Liver (Ina ASL/PPHI) has been working together in the other speciality such as :
surgeons, radiologist, pathologist, pediatricians, and other specialists have been actively
involved to disseminate the knowledge and update issues on Hepatopancreatobiliary to
our colleagues in Indonesia key events such as : APASL, CISHMS, Liver Update, etc.

Liver Update is organized every two years and allows us in digesting and harvesting
the practical knowledge we need to know and practice and also allow us to keep our mind
open for the new development in Hepatopancreatobiliary Medicine. Please mark your
calendar on 1 4 October 2015, and kindly prepare the abstract of your research to be
presented in this important meeting.
Poster presentation is always the soul of the conference to share research findings
and there will be several awards available for application aimed to support young scientists
to attend the conference and encourage scientific research. We thus enthusiastically invite
you to submit abstract and join us in this conference as well.
Our sincerest appreciaton for the international and national faculty who contributed
to the scientific program and also goes to all sponsors who had cooperated with us for the
success of this key event in Hepatology field in Indonesia.

Abstract Format Guidelines

Language:
All abstracts should be submitted in English (including the title, abstract text, authors'
names, affiliations).

Correspondence:
Please provide the followings :
Presenting author's contact details; including full mailing address, office hours phone

number and email address and fax number. Name(s) of presenting author and co-authors:
first name(s) or initials of first name(s), family name (e.g. Ali Sulaiman or A. Sulaiman).

Affiliation details of all authors: department; institution/hospital; city; state (if relevant);
country.

Structure:
The abstract title should be in initial capital/lower case (not all capitals) Abstracts

for original articles should include 1) background/aims, 2) methods, 3) results and 4)

conclusions. For case reports, abstracts should include introduction and case description/

Word limit: 250 words including acknowledgement. Do not include references in the
abstract. Do not include key words in the abstract. Abbreviation should be spelled out, in
parentheses, with its first use in the text.

Format:

All abstracts submitted will be automatically edited according to The 8th Liver Update & The

22nd Scientific Meeting of Ina ASL/PPHI 2015 submission format. It is the responsibility
of the authors to review the submission and avoid any typing errors on the abstract. Use

Italics only when appropriate (e.g., for the name of genus and species). To avoid character
corruption, please use only Times New Roman or Symbol font.

Oral Presentation Instructions

You are advised to check your power point in the Faculty Lounge at least 12 hours before your
presentation time. The Faculty Lounge is located at Multifunction Room near Bengawan Ballroom,
on 5th floor of Novotel Mangga Dua Hotel.
Available at the hour : 1st October 2015 (Thursday) 12.00 15.00 wib.

Musi Barito Room is located at 6th floor of Novotel Mangga Dua Hotel.
Provided within 5 (five) minutes for presentation and 5 (five) minutes for discussion / question and
answer.

Poster should be in English.

The poster sessions will be on 2nd October 2015 according to the time schedule.
Kindly set up your poster on poster board bearing your poster ID number.
Size of the poster BOARDS is : 2 M (height) x 1M (wide), the size of poster is : 120 (height) x 80
(wide)
Poster presented in print form (print-out) with text, pictures / graphs / tables and / or
photographs that support the text with a size of 120 cm x 80 cm. The deadline for submitting
a poster to the Committee no later than 1st October 2015 (morning) and will be display on 2nd
October 2015 at 12:00 to 13:00 pm. Display poster in accordance to the sequence numbers that
determined by the Committee. The Authors asked to present in front of a poster in the hours that
have been determined by the Committee.
Please have your own tools for poster set up, such as doubleside adhesive tape and scotch tape.
The schedule of poster is in line with the daily program.
Poster should be dismantled after all the presentation finished.
The secretariat is NOT responsible for posters that have not been removed/ collected by the end
of the day.
Registration for the conference is mandatory for poster presentation.

Audiovisual Equipment (standard equipment)

1. All the PC computers in the Faculty Lounge are being supplied with Windows XP and Office 2000
(at least). CD-R, CDRW or USB Flash drive are supported.
2. For Macintosh users please immediately check your presentation in the speaker ready room
as soon as you arrive to make sure all fonts and video clips are present in the form they were
created.
3. It is recommended that at least one backup copy of your presentation be brought to the speaker
ready room when you check it.
4. There is a computer in each session room. Thus, the use of personal laptop for presentation is not
necessary.

2. Please make your reservations early; bookings are on a first-come first-served basis.

3. Deadline for hotel reservations is 24th August 2015. For reservation requests after the
deadline date, Committee may not be able to guarantee any available rooms with the

4. Rooms will be reserved only after receiving one night deposit by credit card or
bank transfer, and will be confirmed after receiving full payment. Payments should
be completed before or on 24th August 2015. If the payment is not completed until
that date, only one night reservation will be kept and the remaining unpaid nights will
