Total Time: 50:00 min

Objective: Warm up band working on intonation and sound. Try to
make improvements towards good sounds and being in tune, balance,
and blend. Keep chugging through the book. The nuts and bolts of
basic band fundamentals come through with these exercises. Review
what we have played in Quintessence. Go over any funky rhythms and
start cleaning.
Goal/Rationale: Prep and development of sheet music is a necessity
for any music program. All the details that go into book work, scales,
warm-up, theory, reading skills, and technique, are applied to the sheet
music. This is where the development of the band really shows.
Assessment/Prior Knowledge: We have played through most of the
book exercies. They should know the proper fingerings, how to read the
notes, understand the correct rhythms, and correct key signature. The
book exercises are just a catch up on what needs to keep developing.
Quintessence uses most of the prior knowledge listed above. We know
some of the music but are going to dive into it more.
