World Cup Prediction Tournament

The Basic Rules……£5 entry fee per team (feel free to enter more than one team)

Pick 8 national teams & think of a decent team name. Make sure the combined value of the team does not exceed 64 Million and send
back to Andy Clark or Danny Harwood. Entries and money must be received before 4pm on 11th June 2010.

Prize money – 1st place = 40% of takings, 2nd place = 15% of takings, 3rd place = 5% of takings.
If winning entries finish level on points then final positions will be decided on most goals scored through the tournament, then most
clean sheets kept and if positions are still not decided then the winnings will be split.

We’ll calculate all the scoring and send out regular updates of the league table. The decisions of G.P.C.C. Committee will be final.

The scoring is as below……so the longer your team’s stay in the competition the more points you get.

NO GOALS CONCEDED - 2
SCORE MORE THAN 4 GOALS - 15
CONCEDE MORE THAN 4 GOALS - -10

In the knock-out phase, extra time will count towards points in terms of goals scored and conceded but penalties won’t. There will
also be no draws in the knock-out stage so if a penalty shoot-out does take place then the teams involved will either win or lose.
