3. Educational Qualification: Diploma in Handloom Technology or Textile

1. Applications are invited from the Advocates for filling up vacant
posts in the cadre of District Judge by direct recruitment in the
Rajasthan Judicial Service, in accordance with the provisions of
the Rajasthan Judicial Service Rules, 2010 (Originally published
in the Rajasthan Gazette, Part IV (C) dated 19.01.2010) as

2. Number of vacancies and reservation of Posts :

6. CHARACTER AND PHYSICAL FITNESS :

8. Application form : Candidates should apply in the prescribed OMR
application form available at all Collectorates of the State/Office of the
A.D.M., Bhubaneswar, Rourkela and Sub-Collector, Berhampur and Jeypore,
on production of original Treasury Challan showing payment of Rs.30/-(Rupees
thirty) only under the Head of Account “0051 -P.S.C.-104-UPSC/SSC-

Examination fees” . The treasury chalan in original shall be deposited by the
candidate at any of the above offices to obtain application form.
9. Examination fee: Candidates other than SC/ST are required to deposit Rs.
75/- (Rupees Seventy-five) only through Treasury Chalan under Head of
Account mentioned at Para 8 above. The candidates are required to submit the
original treasury challan along with duly filled in application form. The fee
deposited is neither refundable nor adjustable.
10. Documents to be sent along with the Application form
(a) Original Treasury chalan in support of deposit of Rs.75/-(Rupees Seventy
Five) only towards Examination Fee (except SC/ST). Candidates of
SC/ST category should enclose self-attested photocopy of caste
certificate issued by the competent authority.
(b) Self attested photocopy of HSC or equivalent certificate.
(c) Self attested photocopy of Diploma certificate/qualifying educational
certificate for concerned post;
(d) Self attested photocopy of caste certificate issued by the competent
authority;
(e) One unsigned recent colour photograph (3.5X4.5 Cm size) to be pasted
in the space provided in the application form. Besides, another photograph
of the same size duly attested by a Gazetted officer should be enclosed.
(f) Postage stamp worth Rs.6/- to be affixed on the AD. Card and Rs.5/
-on the envelope supplied with the application form. The candidate is
suitable in the opinion of the court in all respects for appointment
to the service. He must produce a certificate of good character
from the District Judge of the District in which he has been
practicing as a lawyer and two such certificates, written not
more than six months prior to the date of submission of
application to the court, from two responsible person not related
to him.
ii) A person dismissed by the Central Government or by the State
Government or convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude
shall not be eligible for appointment.
iii) No person shall be appointed as a member of the service by
direct recruitment unless he is in good mental and bodily health
and free from any physical defect likely to interface with the
efficient performance of his duties as a member of the service.
Before a candidate is finally approved for appointment by direct
recruitment, he shall be required to appear before a medical
board which will examine him and certify if he is fit for
appointment to the service.
7. DISQUALIFICATION FOR APPOINTMENT : No person shall be
qualified for appointment to the Service or being in Service-
i) If he has more than one spouse living;
ii) If he has been dismissed or removed from service by any High
Court, Government or Statutory Body or Local Authority;
iii) If he was or is convicted for any offence involving moral
turpitude, or has been permanently debarred or disqualified by
any High Court or Union Public Service Commission or any
State Public Service Commission from appearing in any
examination or interview;
iv) If he being an. Advocate was found guilty of professional
misconduct under the provisions of Advocates Act, 1961
(Central Act 25 of 1961) or other law for the time being in force;
v ) If he has more than two children on/or after the date of
commencement of these rules. Provided that the candidate
having more than two children shall not be deemed to be
disqualified for appointment so long as number of children he/
she on the date of commencement of the rules does not
increase;
Provided further that where a candidate has only one child
from earlier delivery but more than one child is born out of a
single subsequent delivery, the children, so born shall be deemed
to be one entity while counting the total number of children.
Explanation: For the purpose of this clause, child born within
280 days from the date of commencement of these rules shall
not constitute disqualification, vi) If he has accepted or accepts
dowry at the time of his marriage.
Explanation: In this clause, the word “Dowry” shall have the same
meaning as assigned it in Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (Central
Act-26 of 1961).
8. CANVASSING : No recommendation for recruitment either
written or oral other than that required under these Rules, shall
be taken into consideration. Any attempt on the part of a
candidate to enlist support directly or indirectly for this
candidature by other means shall disqualify him for recruitment.
9. A candidate who resorts to any irregular or improper means
for obtaining admission to the examination or appearance at
interview shall, in additional to rendering himself liable to criminal
prosecution, be debarred either permanently or for a specified
period, from admission to any examination or appearing at any

required to write his/her complete mailing address on AD.Card with
pin code.
11. Plan of Examination and selection procedure
A. Written examination:
The written examination will consist of the following three papers.
(a) General English - 50 marks of 1 hour duration
The questions on General English will broadly include (i) comprehension
of a given passage, (ii) precis writing, (iii) translation and (iv) knowledge
of grammar. The questions will be of HSC standard.
(b) Oriya language - 50 marks of 1 hour duration
The questions on Oriya language will include letter writing, application,
report writing, short essay, translation from English to Oriya and
knowledge of grammar. The questions will be HSC standard.
(c) Technical (Textile Technology/Handloom Technology) -100 marks of 2
hours duration
The questions on Technical Paper will comprise of basic common
knowledge on Handloom or Textile Technology. The questions on
Technical paper will be of two parts i.e., Part-A (Handloom Technology)
and Part-B (Textile Technology). A candidate may opt for answering
either part-A or Part-B.
B. Career Assessment - 30 marks
There shall be assessment of career marks of the candidates on their
performance in H.S.C. and Diploma or equivalent examination from a
maximum of 30 marks.
C. Viva-voce Test - 20 marks
Candidates, nearly 3 times the vacancies in each category for the
post, will be called for appearing in the viva-voce test on the basis of
their performance in the written examination.
12. Select list: The select list shall be prepared basing on the total marks
secured by the candidate in the written examination, career assessment
and viva-voce test.

examination unless the candidate is not admitted to the
examination by the Court.
11. SYLLABUS AND SCHEME OF THE EXAMINATION
The syllabus and scheme of written examination for competitive
examination for recruitment to the District Judge Cadre shall
consist of (a) a written examination, and (b) an interview to
test the general knowledge of the candidate and his fitness for
appointment to the cadre. Details of the syllabus and scheme
of examination are available in Schedule-IX of the RJS Rules,
2010.
12. FORM OF APPLICATION : Application shall be made in the
form prescribed by the Court, which can be had alongwith
instructions from the office of the Registrar General, Rajasthan
High Court, Jodhpur on payment of sum of a Rs. 100/-* in cash
on any. working day during office hours. The instructions should
be read carefully by the candidate before applying. Application
form can also be had by post by sending a crossed Indian
Postal Order of Rs. 100/- payable at Jodhpur in the name of the
Registrar General, Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, alongwith a
self addressed envelop of size 5"x11” duly stamped worth Rs.
30/- for sending the form through Registered Dak, which should
be sent well in advance so as to reach this office at .least two
weeks before the last date of submission of application form
with the District Judge concerned.
13. CHANNEL OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION : The application
shall be submitted in quadruplicate through the District Judge of
the District in which the candidate is practicing as an Advocate,
who shall send to the Court in respect of each applicant, his
own estimate of the applicant’s character and fitness for
appointment to the service. Each application must be
accompanied by the matriculation or equivalent certificate a
certificate stating the period for which he has practiced as an
Advocate; and required character certificate.
14. PAY SCALE : A candidate, on selection shall be appointed in the
First instance a District Judge, in the pay scale of
Rs. 16750-400-19150-450-20500.
15. LAST DATE: The last date for submission of duly completed
application in all respects shall be 30th April, 2010 (during office

Applications are invited for filling in the post of Manager(Tech.) in NHAI on deputation basis. Officers of Central/State
Govt. Department/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings shall be considered for appointment on deputation
basis.
Eligibility Conditions
A. Pay scale Rs. 10,000-15,200/- (alongwith central DA) (pre-revised)

Essential: Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed Institute of Technology or a recognized university

D. Experience
Essential: (i) Candidates already on the panel of Under Secretary in the Govt. of India and possessing the
educational qualification stipulated above, or from candidates holding analogous posts in a Central/State
Government Department, Autonomous Body/Public Sector Undertaking or with 3 years regular service in the pay
scale of Rs. 8,000-13,500/- (pre-revised) or equivalent of 6 years in the pay scale of Rs. 6,500-10,500/- (pre-
revised). (ii) Should have put in at least 3 years service in a responsible senior position in a Government
Department/Public Sector Undertaking/Commercial organization of repute and should be working in an analogous

Desirable: Should be well versed in the field of highway/bridge engineering/dealing with planning, pre-qualifica-
tion of consultants and contractors; financial appraisal of projects; detailed designing, techno financial reviews;
evaluation of tenders, contract managements, monitoring liaison with major construction agencies/ Govt. bodies,
performance appraisal of major highway/bridge projects.
E. Age: Candidates applying on deputation basis should not be more than 56 years of age or due to retiring from
their parent cadre within two years as on date of publication of this advertisement.

10. CHECKING OF ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES/ DOCUMENTS DY.COMMISSIONER OF POLICE,

11. WRITTEN TEST
All candidates, who qualify the physical endurance &
measurement tests, shall be put through a written test. The
written test will be of one and a half hour (1½ ) duration
which will carry 100 marks. The question paper will be of
objective type and will include questions on General
Knowledge (25 marks), Arithmetic (25 marks), Reasoning
(25 marks) and English (25 marks). The question paper of
General Knowledge, Arithmetic and Reasoning will be
bilingual (English and Hindi).

The candidates who come within the range of merit of
written test equal to five (5) times the number of vacancies
in each category i.e. General/OBC/SC/ST and Ex-

SHORTHAND TEST:- The shorthand test shall carry
maximum 25 marks. The dictation of English/Hindi
Shorthand test will be of 05 minutes duration and the time

allowed. If the mistakes are more than 5%, he/she is
considered having failed in the test. The marking shall be
done on the basis of mistakes.
