Atthattime,thisadditionseemednecessary.ThefirsteditionendedwiththeadventofBolshevism
inRussiaandafirstassessmentoftheFirstWorldWarthus,itseemed,inaway,truncatedwith
respecttothefurtherdevelopmentsoftheoccultwarandtoaseriesofnewfactswhichseemedto
leadtoareaction,totheawakeningofnationalistEuropeandtotheformationofacommonfront
againsttheforcesofglobalsubversion.

However,aftertheinterwaryears,theSecondWorldWar,andthecatastropheinwhichitwasto
end,anewseriesoffactspresentedthemselvestotheattentionofthehistorian.Thus,whatde
PoncinshadaddedinEuropeCallingforHelpappearsinitsturnincompleteandinneedof
revision.Thisiswhywefeltitnecessarytosubstitutethischapter,comprisingasummaryofthe
partsofEuropeCallingforHelpwhicharestillvalid,withcertainadditionalconsiderationson
furtherevents,ourintentionbeingtoprovidethereaderwithanupdatedgeneralperspective.
InEuropeCallingforHelp,itwasfirstnotedthat,evenpriortotheadventofBolshevisminRussia
andtheVersaillesTreaty,theforcesofantiTraditionintheirmaintwocolumns,thatofthe
democracies,thefinancialinternational,Freemasonry,andJudaism,ontheonehand,andthatof
revolutionaryMarxism,ontheother,seemedtobeintheprocessofcompletingatriumphableto
securethemalastingandunshakabletyranny.Oncethemainobstacleswereovercome(towit,once
threeofthemainEuropeanmonarchies,Russia,Austria,andGermany,hadbeenbroughtdown)a
seriesofsocialperturbations,notonlyamongthevanquished,butalsoamongthevictors,was
intendedtocomplete,byothermeansandunderotherlabels,theworkofthewar.

Thoughitmayhaveseemedotherwisefornumerousproletariansandworkers,whosedestruction
wasmeanttopavethewayforthefulfillmentofmoredistantobjectives,phenomenasuchastheso
calledhyperinflationmustbeputamongtheepisodesoftheoccultwar,theentirestoryofwhich
hasnotbeenwrittenyet.Ithasbeenthoughtthatthishyperinflationwasaphenomenondueto
impersonalcauses,totheforceofcircumstance.Inreality,inflation,whichpervadednotonlyinthe
countrieswhichhadlostthewar,butalso,eventually,thosewhichhadwonit,turnedintoalarge
scaleexpropriationofallfungiblewealthandhadtwospecificpurposes.
Thefirstwastodestroythefinancialindependenceofthenationswhichweresubjecttoit,inorder
tostrengthenthehegemonyofanonymousinternationalcapitalandofthosewhocontrolledit.The
secondwastothrowthemasses,inthemostvulnerableareasofEurope,intoastateofindigence
andthusofexacerbatedsuffering,whichwoulddrivethemintothehandsoftheagitators,inorder
thatcombinedtheymightdestroywhatstillremained,intermsoforganisationsandpoliticosocial
institutions,ofthepreviousworld.
Anotherfrontoftheoffensivemustnotbeforgotten,namely,theculturalandintellectualone,the
purposebeingheretoafflictanddebaseanyhigherprincipleorideal.Herewefindwhatwascalled
culturalbolshevismorculturalnihilism,whoseactionconvergestactically,andinthetendencies
towhichitgivesrise,withthatofpoliticalandsocialsubversion.Thiswasaprocessofdemoralizing
andultimatelydiscrediting,anyconceptofauthority,oftradition,ofrace,oroffatherland,andany
formofidealismorheroism,whiletendingtohighlight,atthesametime,thelowerandmore
materialaspectsofhumannature.Thisactivitywasaccompaniedbyphysical,economicalandsocial
harassmentanddevelopedbyavastliteratureandbyothermeansofpublicdissemination,inall
fields,ofapronouncedinternationalistandapparentlypacifisttendency,anditspurposewastoput
boththevictorsandthevanquishedintosuchaframeofmindastomakethefurtherstagesofthe
destructionofEuropeeasilyandfullyrealizable.

Thus,evenwherethemovementsofcommunistrevoltaftertheFirstWorldWarwerechecked,
everythingseemedtobereadyforasortofgeneralmoppingupoperationbytheforcesofglobal
subversion.Inthelightoftheserealeffects,theworkinghypothesisofthesolidarityofthetwo
greatinternationalfronts,thatwhichwavestheflagsofdemocracyandthatofcommunistsand
radicals,seemedtobeconfirmed.
Thiswholemovement,however,suddenlypaused.Thecauseofthispauseliesinthefactthatthe
forcesinquestion,inthesecurityoftheirdefinitivevictory,forgotthatoneofthemainfactorsin
theirsuccesswasthattheyhadactedintheshadowsandinsecret.Tooselfconfident,theythrew
awaytheirmasks.However,atthispointEuropeseemedstilltopossessreservesofenergyableto
givebirthtoaresistanceopposedtocommunism,tohegemonisticcapitalism,tointernationalism,
toFreemasonry,andtoJudaismitself.

Thereisnoneedheretorecountthevariousformsofthisreaction.Afterthefailureofthe
communistrevolutioninthefirstpostwaryears,firstofallinHungary,theninGermanyand
Austria,afterthedefeatoftheRedArmyatthegatesofWarsaw,andwiththeadventofFascismin
ItalyandofNationalSocialisminGermany,solidfoundationsseemedtohavebeenlaidfora
campaignofdefenseandreconstructioninEurope.Thisprocesswascontinuedbysimilar
movementsinothernations:therebirthofPortugal,which,amongotherthings,followedthe
unprecedentedexamplegivenbyItalybybanningFreemasonry,andthecounterattackandvictory
ofnationalistandtraditionalistforcesledbyFrancoinSpain.Thiswastheperiodinwhichthesecret
forcesofglobalsubversionsawanobstacleariseunexpectedlyandwereforcedtopassfromthe
offensivetothedefensive,inordertostudyothertactics,tobenefitfromthemistakesoftheir
adversaries,andtoprepareanewstageoftheoccultwar.
Thesubsequenteventsandthegameofactionandreactiontowhichtheygaverisearestilltoo
closetousforustobeabletoassumethatwecananalyseandevaluatetheminalltheiraspects.
Whatcanhoweverbesaidwithcertaintyisthat,ingeneral,theforcesandideaswhichhadbeen
characteristicoftheFirstWorldWarwerereprisedintheSecond,sothatthelattercanbe
consideredamerecontinuationoftheformer.
Asiswellknown,afterthecollapseoftheforcesoftheAxis,propagandaorganisedonagigantic
scalemadeeveryefforttomakethetotalitarianregimesofyesterdayappearasthequintessence
ofallabjectness.AninitialsilencewasmaintainedregardingtheSovietregime,atotalitarianismof
muchvasterdimensions.Thepassiveandtraumatizedmasses,including,unfortunately,vaststrata
ofGermanyitself,took,andstilltake,whattheyweretoldatfacevalue.Now,apointmust
beemphasizedevenifwhathasbeenputforwardregardingtheGestapo,theS.S.,the
concentrationcamps,theexterminationofJews,andthesocalledwarcrimes(naturally,this
meantexclusivelythosecommittedbythevanquished,despiteHiroshimaandsoon)weretrue
andwhattruththereisinalltheseallegationsexistsonlyinproportionswhichareutterlydifferent
tothoseclaimedbythepropaganda),nopricewouldhavebeentoohightoacceptifithadledto
victoryinthiswarandthefollowingachievements:thebreakingofthebackoftheSovietUnionits
exclusionfromthegroupoftheworldsGreatPowersthefreeinganddecommunisingofan
immenseterritoryanditsopeningtotheexpansionofCentralWesternEuropeinconsequence,the
prevention,inallprobability,ofthecommunisationofChina,whichinturnwouldhavepreventedit
frombecomingwhatitisnow,towit,anew,moreandmoredangerous,greatpower,notonlyfor
theEastthehumiliationofthegreatdemocracy,theUnitedStates,removingitfromthesphere
ofEuropeaninterestsandthesurvivalofapartofthecolonialheritage,whosearea,inthe
atmosphereofthenewEuropeanorder,withmenfaithfultotheideaofthedifferentdignityofraces
andofthehierarchyofraces,wouldnothaveatalleasilybecomewhatitisbecomingunderthe
effectoftheinconceivablestupidityoftheexponentsofthedemocraticgospel:theplaceofa
massiverevoltofcoloredpeoplewhichisrapidlyputtinganendtothelastremainsofthehegemony
andprestigeofEurope,inthefirstplacetothedetrimentofthevictoriousnationsthemselves.
Eveniftherewerequestionableinstitutions,andmenwhowerenotequaltothehighestgoalsand
principles,intheregimesofyesterday,allthiscouldhavebeengraduallyrectifiediftherehadbeen

suchavictory,essentiallythroughtheinfluxintothehigherpositionswithintheseinstitutionsand
regimesofnewelementsshapedbytheexperienceofwar.
Amongthemostgrievousconsequencesofdefeatwasthefollowingone:thenegativeaspectsofthe
regimesofyesterdaycouldbeemployedtodiscreditalmostirreparablytheirpositiveideas,
tendencies,andrequirements,tothegreatergloryofcommunism,democracyandJudaism.Inthis
regard,thepointhasbeenreachedwhere,inWesternGermanytoday,tospeakatalloftheReich
soundssuspectandNazisticwhere,inItaly,everythingwhichisRomanininspiration
isstigmatizedasemptyrhetoricwhereracismisusedasthemostfrightfulofscarecrowswhere,
owingtotheGermanpersecutions,theJewhasacquiredasortofsacrosanctanduntouchable
character,sothattoventuretosayonewordagainsthimcausesachorusofindignantprotestations
andevenexposesthespeakertolegalsanctions.
Iftheresumptiononalargescale,andtheintensification,ofwhatwehavecalledcultural
bolshevismisaddedtothis,itcanbesaidthatthefieldisentirelycleared:thewayisnowprepared
fordemocracyandcommunism,andtheonlysnag,theonlydefaultofbeauty,intheglobalimage,
istheclashbetweeneasternandwesternfactionsfortheconquestofabefuddled
anddemoralizedworld,inwhichthepossibilityoftheaffirmationofathirdideaandofathirdforce
withthenecessarymilitaryandeconomicpotentialappearsextremelyproblematic.
Withthissituation,heavywithasinisterdestiny,webringuptodateouraccountoftheoccultwar:
wesaythiswithrespectnotsomuchtothefactionsinstrugglethemselves,whicharehardly
maskedanylongertheslogansandtheexpedientsofthemosttrivialpropagandaofbothparts
canbesetasideastotheultimate,universal,globalsignificanceoftheevents,namelythe
