THE HOLOCAUST- THE MAN LED DEATH FACTORY

The most tragic period in the world is the

War period. Moreover, the World War II
(1941-44) brings the hell on the earth. It
shows the worst side of mankind. The
countries that gave the birth to the War
were :
 Germany
 Italy
 Japan
Among all of them, Germany portrayed her
character over the world such a way that
nobody can forget it. It will last in mankind
memory till the mankind is. The most
inhuman act that was done during Hitler’s
timeline. Hitler, a chancellor of Germany
and the head of the Nazi Party was a root
of all inhuman activities going on in
Germany during the World War II. Adolf Hitler, Former Chancellor, Germany

He is popular not for his contribution for his country but his hatred towards the Jews
and their massacre. When he came in the power, he said, "If I can send the flower
of the German nation into the hell of war without the smallest pity for the
spilling of precious German blood, then surely I have the right to remove
millions of an inferior race that breeds like vermin”.

Till yet the discussion was about Hitler but now the time comes to view Holocaust -
the massacre of Jews in the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler.

Basically, Holocaust is a Greek term and a combination of two words, holos,

meaning "whole" and kaustos, meaning "burnt".

It is basically used to describe the genocide of approximately six million European

Jews during World War II, as part of a program of deliberate and systematic
state-sponsored extermination planned and executed by Nazi Germany
under Adolf Hitler. The term now incudes include the Nazis' systematic murder
of other groups including ethnic Poles, the Romani, Soviet civilians, Soviet
prisoners of war, disabled people, homosexual men and political and religious
opponents too.
 Experimentation: means to bring Death

It is said that ‘Old Wine In New Bottle’. The

same was happening here. Nazis’s camp
wanted to give death to Jews as a gift, but
with different and new innovative ways.
German physicians carried out such
experiments at Auschwitz, Dachau,
Buchenwald, Ravensbrück, Sachsenhausen

and Natzweiler concentration camps.

Dr. Josef Mengele, who worked in Auschwitz

introduced different experiments n the camps
such as placing subjects in pressure chambers,
testing drugs on them, freezing them, attempting
to change eye color by injecting chemicals into
children's eyes and various amputations and
other brutal surgeries.

 Einsatzgruppen (Task Group) : A Killing Machine
Einsatzgruppen is a German term, meaning task
forces formed by Heinrich Himmler, a leader of
Schulzsaffel in World War II.

The Einsatzgruppen task was “the annihilation of

the Jews, Gypsies, and Soviet political
commissars". They were a key component in Adolf
Hitler's implementation of the final solution of the
Jewish question.

Task Force was mainly formed of

men from the Ordnungspolizei, a
German Police force, the Waffen-
SS, and local volunteers, and led
by Gestapo, Kripo, and SD officers,
these death squads followed the
Wehrmacht as it advanced
eastwards through Eastern Europe
en route to the Soviet Union.

In occupied territory, the

Einsatzgruppen also used the local
populace for additional security and
manpower when needed. The
activities of the Einsatzgruppen
were spread through a large pool of
soldiers from the branches of the
SS and Reich.

 Per their own records, the Einsatzgruppen murdered more than one
million Jews, almost all civilians, beginning with the Polish intelligentsia, and
then quickly progressing, by 1941, to primarily killing the Jews of Eastern
Europe. Historian Raul Hilberg estimates that between 1941 and 1945 the
Einsatzgruppen and the SS killed more than 1.3 million Jews in
open-air shootings. Following photographs will show the brutality of
Einsatzgruppen.

 Saviour And Murder : Two Sides of The Same Coin
Holocaust was planned and directed
by Germans. It is also said that with
the collaboration with the other
countries, this mass murder was
done.

The civil service and police of the

Vichy, a France Government
actively collaborated in
persecuting French Jews. Concentration Camp, where different
Germany's allies, Italy, Finland, countries transport their Jews
Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria,
were pressured to introduce anti-
Jewish measures; with the exception
of Romania, they did not comply until
compelled to do so.

Bulgaria and Finland refused to co-operate, and all 50,000 Bulgarian

Jews survived though most lost their possessions and many were
imprisoned, but thousands of Greek and Yugoslavian Jews were deported
from the Bulgarian-occupied territories.

The Hungarian regime of Miklós Horthy also refused to cooperate, but after
the German invasion of Hungary on March 18, 1944, 437,000 Hungarian
Jews were deported to Auschwitz by the newly instated Döme Sztójay
regime, fully knowing that they will be exterminated

The Romanian regime of Ion Antonescu actively collaborated, but its

inefficiency meant that only a half of Romania's 600,000 Jews were killed.
The German puppet regime in Croatia actively persecuted Jews on its own
initiative.

In recent years, the extent of local collaboration with the Nazis in eastern
Europe has become more apparent. Historian Alan Bullock writes: "The
opening of the archives both in the Soviet Union and in Eastern Europe
has produced incontrovertible evidence [of] ... collaboration on a much
bigger scale than hitherto realized of Ukrainians and Lithuanians as well
as Hungarians, Croats and Slovaks in the deportation and murder of
Jews."
