The Sun God is older to Krishna. Arjuna asked

Krishna, how Krishna instructed Bhagavad Gita to
Sun God in the beginning.
But Krishna replied “Many, many births both you and

I have passed. I can remember all of them, but you
cannot.”
It is also noted in Brahma Samhita 5.33 and 5.39 that

Krishna is the original, oldest, and the person always
appearing fresh as youth and who comes as all
incarnations like Narashimha, Rama, also incarnates
personally. He is like vaidurya stone which changes
color yet still remains one.
Only pure devotees can understand this and He

cannot be understood by just simple studying Vedas.
The Lord is acyuta, he does not forget Himself even
though He is in material contact.
