PROJECT WORK ON

STRESS MANAGEMENT IN CORPORATE SECTOR

INTRODUCTION
STRESS
Stress can be referred to as an obvious/sudden physical response to
circumstances that gives you a feeling of under determination or upsets you and
your equality with someone or something in any manner .
It is useful and beneficial only when it is functioning in a proper manner , it even
helps us to stay focused to achieve our goals , encourages us to be eager at times
and be attentive and alert at different phases of time.
The fear and pressure of a burden or tension response also helps us to adjust and
coordinate under any condition or any particular point with any circumstance.
Different people have different opinions and ways of expressing stress , some say
stress is natural and desirable and others who dont think this way refer it as
something we suffer from.
The symbols which gives an idea of that we are under going through stress can be
sleeplessness , aches and pains at various parts of the body, Disencouragement in
going for work , No fun in doing any work . These people are imbibed in the
following mal functioning qualities that is they are irritable , miserable, low level
of energy and commitment. These people have a low productivity output , low
level of concentration and are unable to do their share and do not maintain the
optimum output level.
But, there are people who are able to cope up with the same situation of stress.
They have the ability to stay in control and can even handle the job frustrations
without affecting their day to day life. These people have the ability to combat
with stress , have the quality of taking the rough with the smooth , have a good
sense of Humour , know how to regain and renew their energy level so as to
maintain the working life and increasing the level of pleasure , enjoyment and
rewards.

STRESS MANAGEMENT
Stress Management can be observed by recognizing the signs and the level of
stress in your life. The actual level of stress in ones life is not generally selfrealizing and it is very rarely noticed in ones self being by the practices and
feelings.
Managing stress by making ourselves happy;
1) Stop pointing things negatively-try to make the problem easier and take it as
opportunities to prove yourself .
2) Try to improve your present do not think about regretting the past or
dreading the future .

3) Achieve realistic goals that mean to you .

4) Share things meet your close friends share things this will make you feel
great .
5) Maintain physical balance- Exercise , jog in a nearby park .
6) Accept some grievances, frustration ,failures and sorrows .
7) View stress as something you can cope with rather than something that
overpowers you .
8) Last but not the least pray to god regularly .
Certain stages of life gives you biological , physical , psychological changes .
Some fears develop under such phases of life which include body image , rejection,
peer pressure, cut-throat competition, public speaking, job dissatisfaction , family
problems, and many more. If these are addressed well it would lead to positive
development of a human being which would result in less stress related issues and
many other psychological ,health related problems.

STRESS MANAGEMENT IN CORPORATE SECTOR

A recent study shows that in the corporate sector around 70% of the employees are
facing a high level of stress stricken situation. They even described that stress
makes them less productive and they are unable to show their maximum level of
output which indirectly leads wellbeing issues.
Stress has its own different consequences in the corporate part - it lessens the
productivity , expands negative view in the administration and gives the employees
more mental weight.

Certain organizations conduct Stress Management Workshops which

helps the employees to maintain and control over stress.
This helps the employees to enhance their production level , generate
their maximum level of output, adequate level of outputs, low level of
absentism. These all facilities provided by the firm can benefit the
organization.
Scientists and experts have found that yoga has now become the easiest

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

A research was done to know What is stress? How is it managed? How is stress
management done in corporate sector?
Even a survey was conducted by me to find the level of stress in employee.
Data can be of two types :
1) Primary source of data
2) Secondary source of data
Primary data is the data which is collected through a survey, this data is new
in terms of information, it is not being copied from any other source . It can
be processed to further enhance the information. The information collected
can be used in other forms to make the data more innovative, easy to
understand ,practically more feasible to see it. In a survey, data can be
collected through the means of observation, personal interview, telephonic
interviews, mailing of questionnaires, etc.
Secondary data is the data which is collected through other sources of
information . It is not a fresh data it has been copied from other sources . it
gives a knowledge about the topic but has been seen and utilized by others
also. It can be taken from newspapers, magazines , books, internet , and
many other sources.
In this project report I myself conducted an survey in a bank . The survey was
done in the AXIS BANK , BRANCH , RAJINDER NAGAR, NEW DELHI-60.
The survey was taken in the form of a questionnaire . A group of 10 employees
were chosen for the survey. It was conducted that employees were highly under
stress due to their work .

FINDINGS

After preparing the report on the topic STRESS MANAGEMENT IN

CORPORATE SECTOR it was really a matter of worry as the situation in
which the employee are working is in the stressful mode. Not only the
employees in this current bank but also in the world wide case they are facing a
matter of concern their working life is quit unwell . These employees are facing
problems , not only in the terms of physically but they are also mentally
traumatized . Some of them are trying to cope with it but they still need to be
motivated in the field of tackling the situation of stress.
Employees need to be given the space for dealing with stress and related affairs.
Pressure on them should be reduced so as to make them tension and stress free.
Avoiding of some poor habits like smoking , drinking will not reduce your stress
but will give you and your body a lot of pain and sorrow. Instead adopt some
healthier practices which will renergise you and will help you to overcome the
situation or problem you are in at the moment.
Avoid negative thoughts which lowers your self -esteem and gives you demotivation.
Enjoy doing your job at work place , try to complete your work on time so as you
can give your best at home also to your family members.
Always think you have the ability to do it and you will definitely achieve it.
Yoga a prime source of motivation and stress buster . try to spend time on
yourselves rather than wasting time here and there
Stress makes us physiologically prepared for a crisis . Capacity to control this
characteristic response is gainful. Simply dont let it become violently unhinged.

CONCLUSION

This project report is the fulfillment of the summer project based on the topic
Stress Management In Corporate Sector. In the last we would like to conclude
that stress is an internally harming factor which does not allow us to work properly.
Stress a major barrier in the development of a human being.
We conclude that stress has affected a lot to humans. Now we need to be aware and
have to find suitable tackling ways so that it can not affect us in the long run.
If you have to get out of it then only you can ,no one else can do it for you. Dealing
with stress and managing it is no big deal only you have to put in effort to try to
escape from it.
You may feel like that stress in your life is out of your control but it can always
control the way you respond.
The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over
another.
It is not stress that kills us it is our reaction to it.
