PART I COOPERATIVE BIRTH

The cooperative is duly-registered with the CDA on September 3, 2007. It is also

registered before the Department of Trade and Industry and the Bureau of Internal
Revenue and annually applies for a business permit in the City Hall of Manila.
On the 24th of September of the same year, the PNMRHMPC leadership courageously
opened its first store in Blumentritt, Manila. The leased building would also serve as its
office, its warehouse, its production area and dormitory, for those members who could
no longer pay rent.
The member of the cooperative were all originally employees of Mr. Roberto Hortaleza
in his beauty supply and vaciador business, a well-established retail enterprise with
thirteen branches across Metro Manila and one in Laguna Province

VIII. INDIVIDUAL LEARNING GAINED IN THIS STUDY

Team Leader Arciaga, Alexander Owen
In Consumers Cooperative a manager have very important roles in the business. He is
responsible to the operation of business, from ordering up to the checking of the ordered
products. Managers do the buying of products, pricing or adding mark-up to the product,
and the paying of ordered products. Managers manage the inventory level or
maintaining the minimum safe stock level or what we called RE-ORDERING LEVEL.
In short the managers are the key to succeed.
