Now it is time to fasten the safety eyes. Find rows 16 and 17. Insert the first eye between them, then
count 8 holes to the left and insert the second eye in the next hole. Close the washers.
Bring the yarn out in the hole of the head and tighten by pulling gently. Repeat the same steps with
another eye.
Cut out a piece of cotton fabric for the muzzle and a piece of felt for the nose. Give the pieces the
desired shape.
Before starting to sew try the pieces onto the bears face by attaching them with some pins. First place
the muzzle, then the nose, so that half of it would cover the muzzle. If the sizes fit, remove the nose
and start sewing on the muzzle.

12: (sc in each of next 8 sts, sc2tog) rep 2 times = 18
Start filling the arm and flatten it with fingers so that the decreases of the last three rows would be on
the sides. Continue adding stuffing as the work progresses.

18: (sc in each of next 4 sts, sc2tog) rep 3 times = 15
Do not add any stuffing hereafter.

ARM PATCHES
Big (make 2)
1: Color B. Start 6 sc in a magic ring = 6
2: Work 2 sc in each st around = 12
Sl st in the next st.
Leave a yarn tail for sewing.
Small (make 8)
1: Color B. Work 6 sc in a magic ring = 6
Sl st in the next st.
Leave a yarn tail for sewing.
Attach one big patch in the center of the palm and four small patches above it with pins.
Pull the shorter yarn tails out on the other side of the arm.
Pull the longer yarn tails also on the other side of the arm, make knots and weave in.
Sew the arms rather high, but not quite between the neck.
LEG (make 2)
1: Color B. Start 6 sc in a magic ring = 6
2: Work 2 sc in each st around = 12
3: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times = 18
4: (sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times = 24
5: (sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times = 30
6: (sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times = 36
7: Color A. (sc in each of next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times = 42
8-9: Sc in each st around
10: Sc in each of next 12 sts, (sc2tog, sc in next st) rep 5 times, sc2tog, sc in each of next 13 sts = 36
11: Sc in each of next 9 sts, (sc2tog, sc in next st) rep 5 times, sc2tog, sc in each of next 10 sts = 30
12: (sc in each of next 3 sts, sc2tog) rep 6 times = 24
Now sew the legs to the body. If you want your teddy to sit properly, you should attach the legs more
to the front.
TAIL
1: Color A. Start 6 sc in a magic ring = 6
2: Work 2 sc in each st around = 12
3-4: Sc in each st around
5: (sc in each of next 2 sts, sc2tog) rep 3 times = 9
Leave a long yarn tail and attach the tail on the right place.

Finish him by making a belly button. Cut a piece of Color B. Insert the darning needle from the back of
the teddy and pull it out in the front, somewhere on the fourth stripe of blue (counted from top to
down). Insert the needle in the next gap and bring back on the back side. Tighten. Repeat it once
more. You should end up with a little hollow on his tummy.
