There are two tabs Name, Status

Under name tab. Planning areas will appear
Keep Cursor on planning area and right click it
Click on Create planning area
Enter the name of the planning area, MPOS, Storage Bucket profile
and all relevant details which are pre-requisits and press enter
7. A new screen will appear with all key figures
8. Copy relevant key figures from existing sap standard key figures
9. Enter Key Figures aggregation logic
10.Once all entries are made run consistency check whether all entries
are OK
11.Once cons check is done, save the planning area

Or Copy 9ASNP05 and rename Z****. PLOBS remains the same. Right
button - Copy

Assign new storage buckets profile ZBSNASNP to new planning area. I

created this via transaction /sapapo/tr30. Add /n or /o in front of
transaction code to use. This controls the level at which the data is
stored and how many columns are created based on the validity
dates.

Change UOM for the planning area from PCE to CS.

Assign new key figures to planning area in the Key Figs tab. Select
the key figures on the right side of the screen and press the arrow
button to move them to the planning area. The right side has all of
the available key figures in the system.
Check planning area. Save if there are no issues. Contact me if you
get any messages.
To activate it, right button, create time series objects: Planning
version 000; Parallel process profile ZSNPPAINIT, update master data,

Create planning book and assign to planning area:

Go to the planning are details for the planning area you copied
(9asnp05) and look for the Linked Planning Books. Some planning
areas have more than one so you need to think about which planning
book has the key figures that match the functionality you want.
9ASNP05 only has 1 linked planning book so no decision just pick
that one.

Once you have the planning book, go to the transaction

/SAPAPO/SDP8B - Define Planning Book.
a Select the data view radio button
b Check With Ref. box
c Do F4 in the field next to the With Ref. box and select the
planning book/data view from step 1
d In the Planning book field above it type in the name you want
for you planning book
e In the Data View field above it type in the name you want for
the data view

Press the create button

To change the planning area, from the initial screen

There are type of fields defined (Categories) that are defined in the
customizing, its similar to the order types in SAP, its assigned to the
categories, and also you need to assign the type of values to the key figures
and if it can be changed or not

You see the characteristic values in the planning area (key figures / details)

With the OSS note 514947 we made that the attributes of the above table
were changed (for the key figures) and the data is coming from the
distribution receipt planning instead of from the Distribution receipt
