O UR S ERVICE
We are certified to CSA W178.1 for inspecting Buildings,
Bridges, Industrial Structures, Machinery, Cranes, Road & Rail
Vehicles, and Storage Tanks
We employ CSA W178.2 Level 2 Visual Inspectors qualified to
inspect steel fabrication and steel erection for various
construction projects
Test plans are developed and test results reviewed by a
professional engineer certified to Level 3 for Visual Inspection

V ISUAL I NSPECTION
Visually inspect product weld quality and overall workmanship
Review drawings and specifications
Develop or review welding procedures
Witness welder qualification testing
Ensure qualified fabrication personnel are used and that fabrication
procedures are followed correctly
Verify material test reports and proper flow of materials
Confirm as built dimensions match drawings and document
variances
Examine bolting installation and perform torque testing
Determine extent of nondestructive testing required
Perform/oversee nondestructive testing and verify results
Perform/oversee coating inspections and verify results
Observe product shipping and receiving operations
Conduct inspections both in the fabricators shop and at erection
site
Audit fabricators quality control department

You cant always be on site to ensure that your project is going
according to plan. Thats where our experienced team can help.
Our QC / QA inspectors are available for short-term or ongoing
projects within Ontario or across Canada.

Deliverables:
Track project progress and inform owner of status using
reports and photos
Liase with the owner, authorized inspector, production
foreman, and other parties
Develop and implement an Inspection and Test Plan
Ensure incoming material and sub-assemblies are
according to specification and are traceable throughout
the fabrication process
Develop or review welding procedures and verify
adequate equipment
Witness welder qualification testing and ensure that
fabrication procedures are followed correctly
Visually inspect production weld quality and overall
workmanship
Confirm as-built dimensions match drawings, document
variances & NCRs
Coordinate nondestructive testing and review results
Observe product shipping and receiving operations
Audit fabricators quality control department and
activities
Prepare final quality documents for hand-over to the
owner
