Dear Mr. Patrick Ochieng,
SUBJECT: REACHING OUT AND INTRODUCING VIGILANCE PROJECT KENYA; BOARD TRUSTEE
PROPORSITION.
Its my sincere hope this Letter (Email) finds you well. First allow us to thank, appreciate while congratulating you for
the excellent work you do at Ujamaa Centre. I applaud you and we recognize your hard work and success. We met
while I was on consultancy at the UFADHILI TRUST commissioned CSR Study/Research in 2013 where we
discussed many issues then. Today I write on an entirely different matter, today I write to petition you on a cause I
hold dear to my Lifes Work.
VIGILANCE PROJECT Founded in idea and principle in 2013 is an initiative born out of observation and action to
challenge the existing narrative of Rampant Corruption, Looting, Pilferage and Poor Leadership (Governance). We
exist to hold duty bearers and office holders in the public office accountable, to question non performing yet funded
sectors of government. We highlight and point out Grey Areas Rampant Crippling Corruption by the Elected
Governments and successive Past Governments in Kenya.
The vigilance project team has been studying, observing, learning and getting ready to join the CSO fray but with a
unique programmatic purview, fresh approach, strategy and methodologies. Our programs design is evidence based
where the projects implementation yields results but also documents the applied working solutions as evidence for
both learning and knowledge sharing.

Today the fight against corruption must be a sustained and multi faceted approach anchored upon advanced
technology (ICT) and Leveraged on Data Analytical Skill uncovering the DELIBERATE FINANCIAL LOOPHOLES in

Crucial Government Financial Budgets and Spending (Big Data), Communication Skills among other strategies
meant to engage/inform policy makers and the general public through keen research work, well written and BACKED
HARD FACTS.
CORRUPTION and other ECONOMIC CRIMES not forgetting Abuse of Power by PUBLIC OFFICE AUTHORITY
HOLDERS (DUTY BEARERS) has made Kenya lag behind for so many years not forgetting the Poverty Levels
(Human Suffering) and Financial Loss Running Into HUNDREDS of BILLIONS in DOLLARS.
This is our narrative (theory of change). Our cause is defined, our hearts decided and dedicated to the cause. I lead
a team of Six Competent, Passionate and highly experienced individuals who form the Interim Secretariat and we are
on the LOOKOUT for potentials to act in capacity as BOARD TRUSTEES with Management Functions, Power and
Authority Being Organization Overall Overseers While Advising on Organizational Strategic Direction, Sustainability,
Management, Programmatic Purview and Operations, Finances and Programmatic Funding Streams/Sources.
We desire to be a Properly Run Organization, with Credibility, Trust, Reliability, Efficiency and Effectiveness. Our
need for professionalism extends to even communication structures and administrative management structures. It is
for this reason we have identified and approached you to be our Board of Trustees Member. You fit the bill on so
many levels and it would be an honor if you were among the ranks of our future Trustees! We currently operate as a
project and envisage assuming the model of a Nonprofit Social Enterprise (Trust).
Success, Astute Sturdy Leadership is rare and as such we would be elated to be associated to you sir. We believe
we can learn a lot from you in our quest for relevance, professionalism, objectivity and forward movement. We also
submit to accepting that we know just enough if not little in this sector so we reach out to you sir. We ask for time to
time guidance and advice in your excellent capacities. With passion, devotion and dedication plus focus we believe
the war against corruption can be won.

We hope to work together very soon and engage constructively both through public spaces and online spaces
exchanging and sharing ideas. Allow me to say that its possible to change the wrongs we see everyday piece by
piece one at a time. We live by this code: A people united shall never be defeated! And to you we say Today was a
dream, but tomorrow we shall live it in reality. WE ARE NOT ALONE, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Together we can achieve more. We thank you for your time and patience to read our Letter. This proposal we put
before you hoping to have a positive answer from you. Meanwhile we continue to claim back our beloved Republic
Kenya for we must speak against bad governance, say no to corruption, and end looting of public resources.
We say NO in the strongest terms to pilferage and unnecessary wastage of scarce public opportunities/resources.
