Money is not an end itself.

There is no pleasure in accumulating wealth and not spending

it. One earns to live in comfort and buy all the good things of life. Life becomes very
uneasy for those people who are too miserly and spend sleepless night guarding their
wealth. Money can certainly cause a lot of tension and headache if you become obsessed
with it. It cannot be denied that a good bank balance gives immense sense of security. But
what is the point of saving for tomorrow when you cannot enjoy yourself today. Man
should adopt a balanced roach to money. While it is wise to save for a rainy day, it is a
folly to let life pass you by without your enjoying it. One must enjoy the fruits of ones
labor. Riches by themselves cannot provide happiness and joy. Riches are for spending to
make life pleasant, interesting and worthwhile. In fact, if one acquire a wealth of
experience. It does not, however, mean that one need. Therefore, one must put by some
money for future needs. In this regard, one must have a balanced approach. One should
be neither miserly nor extravagant.

SILENCE IS GOLDEN
A silent person produces an impression of being serious-minded and thought. A talkative
person, on the other hand, creates an impression of being light-hearted and shallow. A
person who is wise generally remains silent. A fool, on the contrary, has a tendency to
keep talking most of the time. A talkative person is likely to give out secrets, while a
silent person can be relied upon to keep secrets. It is for these reasons that persons of a
silent nature are entrusted with tasks and responsibilities which demand secrecy, patience
and integrity. Furthermore a silent person is much quicker and more prompt in action
than a talkative person who wastes much time in talking. A talkative person seeks to
impress and overawe others with a torrent of wrods, while a silent person minds his own
business and saves his energy for more fruitful activities. A silent person generally
commands respect because of his reserve. He is thought to be profound and philosophical
in his outlook upon life and, when he opens his mouth, he is listened to with full attention
whereas a talkative person is generally ignored. In short, silence is golden while garrulity
is a serious drawback.

TRUTH IS BEAUTY. BEAUTY TRUTH

Truth is beauty, beauty truth.
That is all ye know on earth
And all you need to know.
These lines occur in Keats famous poem Ode on a Grecian Urn. In these lines, the poet
emphasizes the identity of beauty and truth. According to him, only truth represents
beauty, a fact all humans should bear in mind. Great truths are communicated by works
of art. Literature, sculpture, architecture, paintings, films or other effective media. Every
portrait painted is either a truth or a lie or a mixture of the two. Its beauty depends on the
degree of truth, and honesty depicted in it. An artist who puts his heart and soul in his
worl and applies true tones of colour, theme and dedication, is able to produce a beautiful
piece. It would be a synthesis of beauty and truth may be, there is no doubt as to its being
valuable, not merely in the sense that is good to look at, but also it does good to those
who see it, know it and act upon it. Like truth, beauty is dynamic and vital; no wonder the
poet links them to be the same.

WITH DETERMINATION ONE CAN FIGHT DETERMINISM

Determinism is the belief that people are not free to do as they wish because their lives
are determined by antecedent causes, inherited or environmental. There is no denying the
fact that human life is determined by certain cause outside mans control but it would be
wrong to assume that human life is wholly deterimined by these causes like the life of
animals which is a picture of complete determinism. Animals cannot step outside the
domain fixed for them by nature. They are the slaves of their instinctive set-up . There is
no concept of FREE WILL in the world of animals. They cannot change or improve upon
their behaviour. Hence , in the animal world there are no concepts of progress culture
civilization etc. But the case of human beings is different. As against the philosophy of
determinism, there is the philosophy of free will. But human life cannot be entirely
determined or entirely free. In the first case it would be akin to animal life and in the
second case it would be complete anarchy. Hence, God deigned human life in a way that
it partly determined and partly free. Deteriminism in human life is because of the abovementioned inherited and environmental factors which include the iinstinctive set-up and
human genes.
