Type of community: Barangay BanayBanay is an urban community situated in Lipa
City.
Total population: As of 2014, the community has total population of 11, 218.
Total number of family: The community has an estimated number of more than
2000 families.

There are a few spaces that are open and are left undeveloped. Some are
barren, and some are full of unkept plants.

The community has a large population so there are various types of housing:
single family housing, which are usually bungalow type or two storey houses;
and multiple family housing like apartments.

There are many commercial establishments in BanayBanay since it is just
along a national highway. To date, there are 91 stores, 4 major gas stations
(Phoenix, Caltex, Petron, Galaxy), 9 car repair shops, and 1 junk shop.

The industries prevalent in the community are building materials &
equipment industry, automotive dealer industry, and agro industrial corps,
and they are situated just along the highway.

the community.

All of the roads in the community are in good condition, however there is one
particular dirty road in Villa sa Riles.

BanayBanay are: Brgy. Bagong Pook at Mataas na Kahoy (North), Brgy. Lodlod
at Brgy. Pangao (South), Brgy. Sico at Fernando Air Base (East), and Brgy.
Pinagtung-Ulan at San Jose Batangas.

There is no definite type of crop planted in the community for agricultural
industry is not common here. The usual crops, however, are the one that are
commonly planted in household gardens like calamansi, eggplant, chili
pepper, etc.
Few agricultural animals like chickens, pigs, goats and cows are kept in the
community.

The local government makes sure that there are garbage cans in the
barangay hall, church and schools in the community. For the waste disposal
system, there is a regular garbage collection from Monday to Friday. The
waste collected are then forwarded to the city for further waste management.

The poultry farms and piggeries in some parts of the community give off an
unpleasant odor due to the animal manure. Some specific areas of unusual
air odor are Purok Central, Purok 4, and Purok 1.

b. gas - Residents of the community get their supply of gas either from
gas stations, or from local providers which deliver in a house to
house basis.

are PLDT and Globe Telecom.

as the major electricity provider for most households in this
community.

Barangay Banaybanay has a total land area of more or less 328,758 hectares,
and is about 5 kilometers from the city proper of Lipa. There are no hazards
or obstacles which may harm any citizen of the community.

There are a total of 6 schools in the community, 5 of which are private
schools, and one is public.
2. Religion
a. Local church - San Vicente Parish Church is the only local church in
the community.
b. Chapel - The Nuestra Seora delos Remedios Chapel is the another
religious place in the community.

There are no recreation/entertainment facilities in the community except for
the basketball courts near the barangay hall, and inside one of the
subdivisions in the barangay.

The community has both a privately owned clinic and a health center. Doctors
and other health workers, as well as dentists also has an active role in the
community. There are also various pharmacies in the community that supply
prescription drugs as well as over the counter remedies for different illnesses.

Majority of the household in this community is subscribed to a telephone
company as well as TV cables, and radio stations are easily accessed by the
people in the community.

The local community depends on the city fire and police stations whenever
the need for such arises.

The community has a barangay hall that is regularly open. There are 61

are active in their roles in keeping peace and order in the local community.
