OBSERVATIONAL REPORT
The day started with a beautiful smile in my face. It was quite fun and
exciting a mix emotion. I really miss my high school life with a productive day,
sharing laughter in our cutie mouth. Every time our first period subject is starting I
feel nervous and tend to say Excuse me maam may I go out and run immediately
in the Comfort Room for Pee. In fact that was not the subject that I used to tense,
also the Math subject that makes my muscles contract from head to toe. That was
my craziest nightmares when I was in my high school.
Let us back to present where I see my resource teacher. The room is good in
condition physically and also in temperature. But the things that caught my
attention was the chairs. Chairs were too old to used, it may somehow endanger the
students. When I look around there were no broom box that displayed in the
classroom. But I was so curious because their room was clean and shiny. But then I
found out that the classroom board is design also for a broom box. They used to put
a space at the back of the black board to have a broom box, and it was interesting.
When the class started the teacher recap their past topic before going to
give their 10 items quiz. And after he did announce the rules and regulations during
the quiz. Everyone should keep their face in their answer sheets. No one allowed to
turn their head around, if they want to move just up and down, no one to chitchat
with their seatmates, no one to do hand signals. If someone caught will be deduct 1
point until their scores will be evaporate. Then the quiz start, some of them caught
and deducted.

After the quiz they did checking to their papers and discuss every item of
the quiz. The teacher record their scores. The class ended at exactly 9am

The teacher has a
hectic schedule. A

routine.
Sometimes there

factor to shorten

The teacher used

Your Analysis
Comment on the
effectiveness of
the supportive
measures
It was quite good
and lessen the use
of voice. It is a
way to discipline
his students.
An obligatory
routine.
The teacher is not
late in his class
but unfortunately
late in starting the
class because of
the first teacher.

Your Analysis
Recommendations

I will recommend
to used it because
it sounds good it
gives a strict aura
of a teacher.
Conscious in time
must be
recommended.

As usual this a
routine of a
teacher or shall I
say an obligation.
A part of the job.
One of the factor
were the learners
can learn. Since it
was a bit
comfortable. This
may help the
learners to learn
from their teacher.

This is necessary
and highly
recommended to
all teachers.

This is very
effective way to
discipline
students. It makes
them to be
attentive in
instructions.

Giving a
reinforcement or
punishment is a
better way to
maintain
cleanliness and to
lessen or minimize
their behavior.
This is a better
way in teaching
the learners in

some decoration
that is relevant to

may help student
if there is a lesson

the decoration can
be a good
example.

YOUR ANALYSIS
In what area of classroom management was the teacher
most effective? Which of the supportive measures were
effective? Why?
The Teacher was good in managing the class not only in scaffolding students
but also in disciplining students. The measures that support to make it
effective were the rules and regulation that applied in the Classroom.
Because of the rules and regulation and the punishment that the students
will experience if theyre not abiding the rules, the classroom was so
organized and the students were behave and listen attentively.

In what area of classroom management was the teacher

least effective? Which supportive measures were not
effective? Why?
The Teacher was least effective in supporting the learners in remembering
their lessons. The supportive measures were not effective were the teaching
materials. Teaching materials is a big factor to the learning process of the
learners, a good learning materials with a good visual that is appealing to the
eye are effective learning materials. So the teacher was not good in creating
Teaching materials and not too good in using teaching materials. But he is
good in giving situational examples or instances.

Suggest more effective ways for your answer in number 2.

My suggestion is that since the teacher using visual aide as a tool for
teaching, he should use it properly not just put it in the board and talk to the
class without putting attention to the said material. He should make it
creative and entertaining. One thing Ive notice to my resource teacher was
his class was not interactive because in the class I was able to sleep due to
the fact that sometimes the class was too boring there were no interaction
between the students and the teacher. What Im trying to say is that the
teacher should put games that is relevant to the topic that was discuss, but
not all the time maybe if the students were not focusing in the lesson or if
the students has no desires in the subject if it is necessary.

YOUR REFLECTION
Describe at least 3-5 characteristic who can establish a
well define managed classroom?
1. Authoritative

2.
3.
4.
5.

Discipline
Patience
Inspiring
Motivated

What characteristics do you have at present that can

make you an effective classroom manager? Elaborate how
these characteristics can help you.
Authoritative- authority is a must in teaching commanding and self-

confident is necessary to recognized by the students that you have a

power like assertive, reliable, accurate and absolute. This may help you
to put gap between you and your students.
Discipline- teacher should also equipped with discipline since the
student is a learner and under the learning process, teacher should
observe discipline so that the student also follows.
Patience- should attained by the future educator. Now a
days generation of the learners were totally different from our
generation, they used to say bad jokes to their teachers and
sometimes act indecently.
Inspiring- teacher should inspiring so that the students has an Idea in what
they want in their future. It may entertain students if the teachers talk about
college about what are the difficulties that they will experience in college. It
sound good to them if we teacher share our hard times but still we manage
to put justice in our tuition fees.

Motivated- teacher should motivated in order to have a harmonious

daily routine and help students to be motivated also. Teacher may

influence student to work hard in their subjects.

What characteristics do you have at present that can

hamper you from becoming a classroom manager? How
can you overcome these characteristics?
Late- I do commit late sometimes like 5mins in the class but not to the
extent like 30mins. I used to set my time 2 hours prior to my class
schedule.
