SPRING CARNIVAL

Our class is collecting items for the
basket fundraiser the entire month of
April. Our classroom was assigned
the theme
Beach and Water Fun
Please donate any new or family
friendly items that fit this theme.
Donations of cash, gift cards, or
checks made out to Matoska
International Parent Board will also
be accepted. $1.00 tickets will be
sold the night of the carnival and
winning tickets will be drawn for
each basket at the end of the night.

HOMEWORK UPDATE
Fifth graders will no longer be receiving
the homework packet every Friday.
Homework will be given out in
classrooms as teachers feel it is needed.
We will be reminding students to keep
track of their homework in their
agendas. (Parents Sign the Trackers)This
change will help ease them into the
homework patterns they are likely to see
in middle school. Students will have to
continue to read at home and will be
required to fill out a monthly reading
log. Math homework will also continue
on a regular basis. Check your student’s
math each day and sign it at the top of
