Process
a. Activities
a.1
Pre lecture/ daily routine
* Prayer
* Pick up pieces of paper near your chair and arrange the seats in properly.
* Greeting
a.2
*What is a triangle?
a.3
a.4
Motivation
show them a cube, then ask them the following questions:
1. Is a cube a polygon?
2. If you unfold the surface are of the cube how many plane
figures do you get?
The Cube is a 3 dimensional figure with the total surface
area of 6 squares
b. Analysis
(Pre questioning)
- How do we confirm that a figure is a quadrilateral?
- How do we enumerate it relevant indicators and properties?
- What are the kinds of quadrilaterals?
(Post the visual aids)
Introduce the QUADRILATERAL CONCEPT MAP without examples
( Group work) Divide the class into 4 groups and give them 2 figures
corresponding to all kinds of quadrilaterals and let them enumerate the parts using the
attribute table then let them give the classification of the given figures.
II
III
IV
(After they come up with their answers perform an oral recitation by calling a
volunteer form each group.)
- Do some confirmations and follow up questions to reinforce learning.
* Are rhombus parallelograms?
* Is a kite a trapezoid?
c. Abstraction/Comparison
- Continuing the groupings let them compare the characteristics of a square
and a rectangle.
- How do the 2 figures differ and how are they the same?
* Do the reverse abstraction by giving them figures with a classification
and let them answer the values.
d. Application
(Dissolve their groupings and give them a seatwork)
- Enumerate the attributes and classify the following figures.
