CHK2002
CHK2002 is a program realizated for automatical correction algorhythm "checksum" for the
modern ECU.
It use the best technologies by Alientech and it is properly integrated with automatical internet
services that we are offering.
CHK2002 is upgreadable in real time, in every times, using our internet databank. The
checksum families are properly compatible with ECM2001, so integrable when the user decide
to add ECM2001 to his software tools.
The software has a few utilities (optional plug in) that make files management operations easy
for users.

INSTALLATION
ECM2001 works only when the hardware key is connected to PC parallel port.
Download the NEW USER installation files from our internet data bank using your user id and
password
At first start of software, CHK2002 will create the autorization codes that to have send
according the following instructions
AC.COD

UT.COD

Send AC.COD file to service@alientech.to .

The AC.CFG file in a short time will send to
you and you have to save it C:\CHK2002
folder. In the next start the program will ask
to you to insert the 4 digits of your personal
code (Cxxxx) and the language .
It is situated into C:\CHK2002 folder Send UT.COD file to service@alientech.to.
and it is used for optionals plug-in
The AC.CFG file in a short time will send to
activation. (Compress / decompress

WORKING

CHK2002 has actually 41 checksum families. In the first start all families are not available (red
check box). When you buy and install a new checksum family, the red check box will become
green.

CHECKSUM DOWNLOAD
The automatic data bank for checksum families download is accessible only with a code and a
password.
The user would have one or more credits for download checksum families.
It's possible to connect to internet databank from our home page www.alientech.to clicking on
CHECKSUM DOWNLOAD button.

Download information

Select checksum family that

you need and click on
START button

The databank tell you that

the checksum family is
ready to download and the
credits left over. Click on
ZIPPA button to continue.

Click on download button to

download the checksum
family. You have to save
this file in
C:\CHK2002\RECV folder.

After you have saved the downloaded file into C:\CHK2002\RECV folder, you have to use
UTILITY / ASSISTANCE / DECOMPRESS DATA function to install the new checksum family.

CHECKSUM
Checksum control

It allows to control and, if necessary, to modify

the checksum of the file. The working of this
function will be explained better in another
page.

ALT + C

This function asks you to control the checksum

who is includes in the file requested.
If the checksum is OK, the program inform
you, if it isn't ok, the program correct it and
make a file call it with the same name but with
different extension.CKS. The program puts the
file in the same folder of the selected file.

Optinal plug-in
This utility allow to decompress ECU M1.5.5
original files (.BCB extension) and get binary
files from which extrapolate maps to do desired
modifications.

Compress /
decompress BIN ->
BCB e BCB -> BIN

After modifying the file is needed compress it

again to become it a .BCB file that could be
sent in ECU through OBD-II connector.
The file produced will be saved in the directory
from which was taken the original file.

Optional plug-in
This utility decoding and coding the files with a
Siemens protocol.
When this function is activated, ECM2001 ask
you to select a file to codify or decodify. During
CODIFY will be create a file with extension
.SIE, in the DECODIFY will be create a file with
extension .BIN.

This function allows to do files more big than

that you have selected. After you have selected
the file, ECM2001 learns the dimension and
checks the boxs with that you can do other
files.

Duplicate eprom

You can select the size that you want and you
must click on button "Crea EPROM". You will
see a window that allow to you choose the
name and the destination of the new file.

between byte after byte, belonging two
files.You must select two files and click on the

CHECKSUM CHECK

This utility allows to control the checksum of a file and to repair it in the case that it is not
correct. You can select the file that you want to control and choose the family that belong it.
If you push the button "Compute" the program effects the control and show you the result of
the check.
If the file's checksum is not OK, CHK2002 asks if it is necessary to effect the corrections and to
save a new file.
