The Baker Hughes Centrilift AutographPC

software is the artificial lift industrys most
comprehensive and user-friendly system
design and application simulation software.
This arms our Baker Hughes application
engineers with a powerful tool to give you
the best solution for each application. This
software can be used to design production
systems for all of our product lines, including:
electrical submersible pumping (ESP) systems;
electrical submersible progressing cavity
pumping (ESPCP) systems; rod-driven
progressing cavity pumping (RDPCP)
systems; horizontal surface pumping
(HPump) systems; and gas lift systems.
Each system installation is unique and
with this software, all the well information,
including production characteristics, fluid
properties and well conditions, can be entered

during the initial design phase to produce the

optimum solution for each sizing. This userfriendly software can be used for both fixed
speed and variable speed applications.
AutographPC software also provides very easy
to use Sensitivity Analysis to quickly evaluate
your design in a wide range of possible
operating conditions.
AutographPC softwares dynamic simulator
is the only software of its kind in the
industry, allowing you to see how the
pumping system behaves during the first
crucial minutes or hours of operation after
startup, or longer term as the well ages and
well conditions change. This feature allows
you to change up to 30 different operating
conditions and simulate how the system will
react, getting immediate feedback.

simulation of operations

Provides evaluation of system

during startup, transient running
conditions, and shutdown;
used for troubleshooting and
operations training
Extensive

help features

Offers in-depth information on input

parameters and program options
Exports data to other software packages

Allows for customization of reports

in Microsoft Excel or Word
Tapered

pump design

Allows pump design to use

multiple stage types to properly
handle gas compression
Stress

analysis for equipment

passing through bends or doglegs
Evaluates the equipment for stress
loads caused by wellbore deviations

OVERVIEW
The simulator can track and plot the
resulting changes of many parameters like
flow rates, intake and discharge pressure,
current, motor temperature and torque, just
to name a few. In addition, the simulator
displays alarms when the system goes out of
its recommended operating range, and helps
to diagnose common problems like tubing
leaks, pump wear, or pump-off. Our software

also assists in forensic analysis by simulating

conditions that can lead to a failure.

XPVision software that connects real-time

field data with the model.

The AutographPC sizing and simulation

software is a cornerstone of our unmatched
design, service, and support ensuring
the most efficient system and optimized
production for the life of a well. It also serves
as the calculation engine for Baker Hughes

Pump Screen
This is the central screen since the pump selection
drives the selection of the other submersible pumping
system components.

Gas Lift Pressure Gradient Screen

The latest version of AutographPC software handles not
only pumps but also gas lift systems for design, troubleshooting, and analysis.

Stress Analysis Screen

The ASAP feature allows you to configure the ESP and
computes the static bending stress as the equipment
passes a dog-leg during installation and displays a red
flag if the stress is beyond recommended limits.

Sensitivity Analysis Plot

A sensitivity analysis option provides a powerful tool to
vary parameters (water cut, rate, intake, pressure, etc.),
which may be critical to design, and see the impact on
other design parameters such as Total Dynamic Head and
brake HP.

Simulator Screen
The simulator generates data that can be plotted, saved
in its own internal format for later retrieval, or exported
into Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word for analysis.
