Proposed Project Description:

Problem Statement
Student Scholarship is one of the regularly visited websites and had lot of issues related to
personal, financial, professional and security aspects. Thus creation of a typical scholarship
website or application needs lot of aspects to be reviewed, investigated and applied prior to
develop any formal design or implementation. Lot of functional and non-functional
requirements are included while developing the student scholarship web application and the
primary goal of the proposed application is to help the students to registers, login, update and
check the scholarship details as requested or imposed over the website. In general, to apply
for any scholarship, respective students should register with the system by filling a typical
application form, where the basic details like First name, Last name, Date of birth, Gender,
Citizenship details, Email address, University details, Course details and mailing address are
expected from the students.
For the proposed student scholarship web application, it is assumed that the students from
University of Houston-Clearlake (UHCL) will register, login, apply and access the system
and following are some of the high level features of the application

Students will access the website or URL of the proposed scholarship web application
Existing students will login to the system and uses the further features of the

application
New students will register with the application by providing the inputs, where on
successful registration, an email will be sent to the students which is composed of the

respective login details

With the login details, students will access the scholarship website against a proper

authentication process
Students upon successful login to the system can access their profiles and edit or
update the personal, financial, university and educational details as well and also

change their passwords to customize the login process

Administrator login to the system with a separate access and view all the scholarship

details and requests from the new and existing students as well
Admin has the right to add, update and delete the students from the scholarship
system and forwards the new scholarship requests to the finance team of the

university
Students can track the status of their application requests for scholarships and mail for

any further assistance or queries to the administrator.

Admin has the right to decide upon the student scholarship and further requests based
on their profile and eligibility
